THE ROLLING LAP by Patricia Abbott It covers 1954 to the early 60s and deals with the promoters, tracks and early background to the sport in East Anglia rather than the full details of results etc. It also puts stock car racing into context with what other entertainment the tracks were offering during the period. Much of the information is from lengthy visits to the record offices in Ipswich, Kings Lynn, Norwich, and Yarmouth, and interviews with some local stock car legends such as Alan Wardropper, Gerry Weir, and surviving members of the Frost family. A couple more from the meeting at Kumla in June 1955. There's no other info with them, so we can only guess. The fence or pit gate being assembled or inspected. One of the competitors. The embroidered badge on the overalls says NYNAS, which is a Swedish oil company.

Another from the Junexvallen meeting on Sunday 1st May 1955. It's now dark and the floodlights are on. The accompanying info says that home driver Åke Gustafsson has just hit a car from behind so that it ended up on the roof.
