As with previous years, after another season of racing, I've been fortunate enough to collect a season's worth of F1 footage, some as this year's Skegness Stadium trackshop videographer, but mainly as a fan. Some has obviously already been uploaded to Youtube etc. This though is a 16 DVD set of edited highlights of the whole F1 season. Presented in 4 x 4-way cases, each of the discs is approx 90 minutes and menu driven, along with an on screen leaderboard. Discs are plain faced DVD-R which are compatable with the majority of DVD playback equipment. I thought this thread had served it's purpose and would disappear into oblivion, but due to a few unexpected F1 orders over the last couple of weeks, I'm now at the point where I have no more of the covers. Should anyone still want a set, I'm trying to get some more covers but at this point can only offer the F1 DVD sets with a basic fixtures / menu cover. Interest was obviously higher than I expected, so I hope it's filled a gap for all those who had a set. I'll update if I do manage to get any more of the proper covers.

Thanks for the comments again, but come on - it's virtually handheld camcorder blair witch stuff Perhaps my previous post was a bit misleading - it's not that I don't want to do any more in the future - I do. It's more a case of if I'm stopped doing them. I might be just being paranoid or over suspicious, but until I find out if anything is looming for definate, or if it's just me being a drama queen, I'm sort of in limbo.

As with previous years, another season's footage captured as a fan on camcorder, this time in WIDESCREEN. This season I was lucky enough to be able film every race from every UK meeting, of which extensive edited highlights have been put on 16 DVDs, along with on-screen leaderboard and race results. This subject has appeared on here before, but after extensive searches I can't find the original posts. Basically, I'm hoping to capture a section of DVD (not the whole DVD) to save to my hard drive, ideally as an mpeg file. There are also lots of posts similar to this on other 'techie' forums, but I do remember seeing one on here which looked so simple. I think it mentioned using a program which created markers or something similar for the sections to be grabbed. Either way, any help would definately be appreciated

This is a shot in the dark, but it's for a non-internet friend and I promised I'd ask... Basically I / we are hoping to find someone who can get us a copy of the 212 FWS book - the bigger black one at £53, not the orange one. I was surprised to find the website where they are available needed signing up to before being able to buy. Even so, I would have done that but then noticed payment wasn't possible by either paypal or debit card. Not having a credit card, I was basically stuffed. So, what we're hoping for is the assisatance of some kind soul who ideally has already got a copy of the book, as they will have obviously joined the site with no problems and have the required card. We're not asking for anyone to stump up £53 from their own funds - we'll happily make the payment in advance by whatever means to a reliable Stoxnetter. We'd also cover any postage costs if it was not possible to collect the book in person at a meeting.

Oops! It's 33 meetings, not 35 - what a rip off! Also forgot to mention this is in widescreen format. I think most people have widescreen now, so that shouldn't cause too many problems.

A thousand apologies for dragging this up again, but with a new season looming I didn't want to be faffing about with these after the new season had begun. That was the original reason, although I'm not 100% sure if I'll be doing any for this or following seasons yet. Either way, it would be helpful to draw a line under the 2007 set, so any Stoxnet users wanting a 2007 F1 set who have not yet done so, please do so by, oh let's say March 19th, when I'll be another year older!

Update 14th Dec - Thanks for the positive comments that have been posted. If I do do it all again next time, I was considering widescreen if possible anyway, as I suspect there's more people who now have widescreen than those who don't. However, it seems the positive comments left have resulted in a pre Xmas rush. At this stage I can despatch all orders received to date over the next day or two. Regarding any orders received from this point onwards, I will be able to compile a few more sets, but don't expect be able to despatch any more until Wed Dec 19th as I'm waiting for delivery of some more of those rather nice covers. Wed Dec 19th is one day before the Royal Mail last posting date before Xmas, so any posted then SHOULD still arrive before Santa does. Please remember I'm not a cottage industry, just a fan with a camera, so I can't guarantee how many more sets I can get compiled over the next few days and consequently can't guarantee every order received from this point ( if there are any more ) will be despatched before the last posting date before Xmas. Update - Brisca / Banger vol 3 DVD is now ready and those that have already been ordered have been sent. All the F1 15x sets that have been ordered have been sent. Calm down, it's not that exciting. I've seen similar posts on here before. Basically, I took delivery of some of my usual 1st choice blank DVD-Rs, some of which skipped (albeit slightly) when played back. Before I realised this, I ordered some more. This 2nd lot may or may not be from a different batch or I might have just been unlucky with the 1st lot. Either way, I don't have time or inclination to watch / check a selection of the new ones to find out, so I'm hoping to find 6 Stoxnet members / supporters who'd be happy enough to receive a pot luck DVD containing some F1 action dilmed by me from sometime this year and take a look. All I ask is that the DVD can be watched thoroughly within a couple of days of arrival and to get a reply stating whether it plays ok or skips in any way. I hope I can get 6 pms in response to this, then I'll close it and sort our postal details with the 6. No favourtism etc, just the first 6.
