  2. Nir trackshop had them for sale yesterday, also Ian F did have a spare copy so try a text.

Nir trackshop is now run by Dave Gamble of Intersport who is always at brum and hedno with his van and stall so give him a ring, he might send you one or save it if you are doing any more incarace this year.

  3. Before I start my post - please be aware that it is meant to be constructive and not a criticism...

I honestly think the days of putting 'sponsor required', 'sponsor wanted' etc etc on the side of a car and expecting a blue chip company to come in and say 'hell yeah, i'll have some of that... will £10k and a couple of big blocks be ok?' is long gone... if it ever existed... and some might say a touch on the cheeky side...

In this day and age, most companies will want at the very least some kind of presentation package, in the form of a booklet or even going into a company and doing a proper 'presentation'

Making it totally clear what a potential sponsor would get for his / her money, benefits to their company, taxation issues, promotional events that can be offered etc etc are essential to be taken seriously.

If you're looking at the every day fan, which in stock car racing is very common... letting people know, say, for £200 you get a small logo on the car... for £1000 you get the centre of the wing... for £2,500 you get both sides... is essential...

I'd say i've got a pretty good idea of costs in f1 and f2 stock car racing... but think about the people that don't. They may want to buy a tyre but have no idea how much it costs... pay for a meetings worth of diesel... or perhaps think that offering just £100 will not be appreciated... You get my drift...

People are often very guarded on how much money changes hands... and for sure it is private... but if you want cash... you'll just have to bite the bullet and get it done...

Over the years I have done some of the above packages for drivers in F2 and National Hot Rods (and gained sponsorship!!)... so i do know what i'm going on about (on this occasion)... i'm really not trying to run peoples efforts down... i'm simply using my experience and knowledge to help my stock car brothers out...

I could go on... but i'd bore myself and you lot... but I hope those who have read this understand where i'm coming from. I wish the new driver that Juz is helping out all the best... but if you want more cash... more effort needs to be made i'm afraid.

    Cheers,

  4. i would have to say that this forum is the starting place for stock car forums... so all of those who find themselves at ftooz or allstox will pass through here... so it's a good place to ask for help...

you may want to edit your post to remove your address fella... lots of scrote's online... i'm sure you could pm people with contact details when the time comes...

best of luck finding people to help you out...

without boring you all on here, i started out helping mick sworder in the f2's... then onto elite and the guinchard era... neal smith... etc etc and now find myself in full time paid motorsport...

so if you've spare time, help this chap out... it's a great experience and will bring you closer to the action...

if you lads need any advice please feel free to give me a shout...

    good luck...

  5. The pin on the f1stockcars.com map is right at the entrance of the circuit http://f1stockcars.com/stadium-info/buxton/

Now i'm not sure about this, but if you click on the pin, then select "directions" you are taken to a bigger map with the destination box filled in as buxton.... well in that destination box is what looks to me to be GPS co-ordinates... you would need to check that out as i don't have a GPS system to test it on

yup, they are indeed GPS co-ordinates... and when smashed into google maps takes you right to the door...

    ...buxton, gps style...

if ya look on their website brother, you'll see they've done models of chissy, cronshaw, bezz, pursey and some fella by the name of smith... from back in the day...

i had the sworder f2 model from these guys, and can honestly say they're top notch (and i'd be the first to complain if they weren't up to scratch...!!)

    cheers,
