Pit news after the W & Y race: 415 - After taking a great victory in the race, the left rear link rod to axle has sheared. Russell is welding the end back on. Other team members have the porta power on the front right and have the bumper end to weld. 137 - Front panhard rod end sheared off.

25 - Loading up with a hole in the sump

Pit news: 212 - Working on the gearbox linkage. Oil leak has'nt reappeared. 211 - Retightening the wing attachments after it swung sideways over the cab during the race. 175 - R/h end of the trackrod sheared off. 326 - Right rear shocker leaking oil. 541 - The team are fixing a hole in the cabside. 364 - Front corner work again, and an oil leak from the diff casing. 55 - Craig and Bert changing the prop. 345 - Coolant top hose connection point cracked. Team welding it.

Pit news: 268 - Clutch gone. Car up on the ramps. 308 - Steve changing the left hand half shaft. 175 - Karl welding up the right hand panhard rod attachment bracket. 326 - Mark & Finn changing the rear r/h brake pipe. Everyone else getting their cars ready for the Final.

Update: 220 returned to the pits before Ht.2 owing to a brake pipe failure as he entered the track.

Pit news: 313 - Karl changing gear set. Over revving down the straights 364 - Porta power on the front right. 326 - Sarge pulled onto the infield with a torque arm failure (weld gone at the end of the rod). 175 - Karl changing plugs. 212 - Danny investigating an engine oil leak. He hopes it's just an overfill. 345 - Carb strip. 268 - Bent front axle. 372 - L/h half shaft change. 55 - Front right corner to weld up. A couple of drivers not racing tonight are 124 & 150. Kyle's shale engine has a problem with the crank, and Mick is at Stoke with Andy and Rebecca for the Ministox.

pit news: 212 - Danny changing propshaft H318 & 366 - Difficulty selecting gears. Gearbox linkage adjustment on both cars. 84 - Steering column shaft linkage needs tweaking. 283 - Front bumper upright bent back. Upper rail over the wheel removed. 172 - Left hand stub axle sheared off. Update on 300 - Not loading up. Paul going at risk in the GN. See if the belt stays on the pulleys this time. 484 - Right half shaft change. 242 - Porta power straightening the right front corner of the bumper.

pit news: 303 - Bent trackrod and snapped shocker lower mount. 137 - Fan blades bent back and catching rad. Fortunately rad ok. 43 - After taking on John Fortune, a swift payback fencing by 164 sees the right nerf rail needing porta powering and the front lateral link rod is now banana shaped. 300 - Power steering belt keeps throwing itself off, so loading up. Suspect engine may have moved. 211 - Right kingpin change.

pit news: 242 - Changing half shafts 84 - Front right brake disc shattered 464 - Unable to select gears. Gearbox change in op. 124 - The team straightening a bent front axle 415 - Bad connection to alternator resulting in a flat battery. Russell applying silicone sealant to connection 515 - Welding right rear bumper support

pit news: Just a couple of cars with more than just routine work: 278- Paul changing front brake pads 422- Buckled left rear wheel to remove after tangling with H318

Update on 45: Gearbox changed. Nige wanted to hitch a caravan up to the 45 for the GN

pit news: 515 - Race damage to front left corner. Suspension collapsed. Shocker, link rods etc to replace. 45 - Gearbox packed up. Unable to select gears. 84 - Right half shaft came out during the Final. Further investigation reveals a snapped rear axle. Loading up. H410 - Fitting new brake caliper to right rear. 124 - Loading up with a misfire.

Update on 25: After trying to repair the oil leak it returns once the engine's up to temp. Not looking good to make the Final

pit news from the Team Wainman end: 211 - Phoebe having a look at the carb after the car died at race start. 212 - Danny with the porta power on the front right corner. 515 - Flex hose to rad filler neck connection came off during the race. New pipe being fitted. Back in the main pit: 25 - Pipe to oil pump leaking. They're attempting to bypass the damaged connection but then it leaves the pipe too short. Ongoing for now. 445 - Porta power and welder on right rear corner Update on 217: Definitely crank oil seal. Loading up. Update on 409: Car fired up eventually. Team can't pinpoint the fault but a loose connection is favourite. Diff now gone in the last race, so loading up.

pit news: 217 - Oil leak from the back of the engine. Suspect it could be the crank seal. The team are starting to take the gearbox out to get a better look at the leak. A couple of drivers booked in who are unable to race today are 268 and 345. Richard discovered a water leak from the engine on Wednesday so it's gone to the engine builder for a look see. He hopes to be out at Northampton. Jake had the bellhousing split at Brum so he's on the spanners for dad.

24 - Update. Axle changed, now on with welding left rear corner bumper support. 409 - Failing to fire up. Spark and fuel flow good but it's not having it. 496 - Power steering leak from behind the pump on the new Neil Holcroft car

pit news: 24 - The axle end that had been welded back on after Brum has gone again after hitting the T2 fence. Axle change in op. 45 - After starter problems pre meeting the right hand half shaft has now sheared. Team Harrhy not having much luck recently. 93 - Right rear bumper end folded back. 175 - Fan belt change. Karl's in the ex Lundy car again.

pit news: 5 - Mick laying underneath Charlie's car with the porta power on the bent front axle. 84 - After a fencing by 4 the 84 car has had the newness knocked off. Both front and rear being worked on. 2, 124,172 and 175 all with front right damage. Bumper corner and steelwork around it. 259 - Exhaust header come off and gearbox seized. Loading up.

pit news: 48 - After losing a heat victory for being 2kg underweight the car hit the kerb and holed the brand new rad during the Consi. Loading up. 366 - Porta power on the front right corner of the Dave Dorans car to achieve clearance between wheel and bumper. 460 - After fixing the car for the Consi Chris unbelievably sustained the exact same damage as earlier. Apart from tyres the star men have escaped unscathed so far!

pit news: 24 - Left front axle end sheared off on the Sam Jacklin car. 242 - Front left shocker change. The original was not travelling fully, which was causing Joe to have handling problems. 345 - Clutch out before meeting. Gearbox loose after the heat. 460 - Front left shocker mount and brake pipe sheared off, and a bent track rod. Not a good start for these lads.

pit news: 307 - after a chat pre meeting with the medical team, Tim made the decision not to race tonight. "At least i'm taking the car home in one piece, and undamaged for a change", he joked.
