Sheffield - Sunday 4th June 2017 - British Championship
Richard M replied to Carl H's topic in Essential Information
Just read on the venray thread that by tom harris that he can cope with fwj winning the british but cant cope with the way some drivers break him down. Not 100% sure what that means but if its a referance to DJ slowing things down then i think that he has a short memory. Just ask 217... Interesting statement i thought.. -

Not too keen on sheffield but my maybe has turned into a definately going now. It all looks good but the inclusion of Joe Booth seals it.. -
Looked the same on any phone i think.. But totally agree. Keep the content n plugs but loose the big font.

Thanks for the results. Great to see rob cowley placed in all his races. Hope he does well tomorrow when i am able to be there..π

Looking at that list it's great to see the likes of Russ Cooper Karl Hawkins Steve Malkin Colin Narin And any other drivers who are usually more into shale. And of course the overseas visitors.. Hoping 321 will just appear too.π€. Great number of entrants but as We all know "shale is for the pits, tarmac is for racing" π€£π€£ -

Exactly.. Nige sums the whole business up there.. The driver himself won't know till mid week..how many more are like him? Depending on repair times/parts delivery/help on car etc etc.. I'm afraid I'm one of those suffering from the loss of cov and having trouble getting into the season tho i have done half a dozen meetings, and follow the excellent results service on here, even when im at other tracks ...BUT I decide whether or not im going to a meeting way in advance as it can depend on work/money etc so booking lists are not the bee all and end all to all of us.. Having said that I do follow them on Carla posts but never see them as gospel -
I was at stoke and agree that it was exceptional.. I know it's slightly off topic but if people can only afford one meet a weekend . Stoke on sat was possibly it. (It was for me)
-
I was at stoke but not at BV but find it a shame that Steve feels the need to justify himself on here. It's obvious that they do their best as its in their intetests to do so.. I feel for all promotions as in some people's eyes they will never do the right thing.. Kl water during yellows, coz of the dust. Rightly or wrongly in some people's eyes but they have to for the locals. They are trying to keep the venue open by keeping the residents happy.. That's just one example. Support what we have or go down the Coventry road. ;-(

Sounds like a great weekender apart from the price of track view car parking.. Seems a bit steep ??? -
Mat was in mark sargents car .(borrowed) Sarge is not racing at the moment due to his arm/shoulder being out of action. Pretty sure it's a newson prepped car tho.
-
Too right. A percentage of not much can't be a fat lot.. Stupidly paid footballers/actors (same thing) beware..
-
I think we all know that the 197 car is going to be a stunner. You could put those headers on an old car and still draw a crowd invthe pits.. π
-
Not a Sheffield fan so didn't go but massive congrats to Mat for the results and getting some good points. Wonder if Sarge wants to do a deal on the BT Car with Mat.. Like to hear any reports from those who were there especially the 1 and 84 goings on.. Glad to read positive posts on a meeting..
-
Were there amy yellows or was that a massive achievement from 55 ?? Obviously a good result for him anyway but absolute top marks if there were no yellows...
-
Thanks Anita.. What car is Mat in today plz.. Hoping it's the bt car that's come good in the final for him..
-
Cheers Carl.. Done the last 4 meetings in 8 days but can't make BV so good luck to all the drivers n hope everyone has a good meeting. Also hope Mat takes one of his hire cars out for himself. Don't think he scored a point yesterday and that's no good for his world qualifying chances...
-
Who is 165 please?? Didn't see a 165 at stoke...
-
Was hoping for a Joe booth booking over this weekend. I really rate him and is a good addition to Γ ny track..
-
Glad to see neil hooper on the list.. He was quality at times on sat at brum and looked very competant the rest of the time.. Still..... great to see 321 on the skeg list after his good 2nd to 197 in his heat and then suffer engine probs preventing any more appearances on the night.. Still got 7th fastest ΔΊap time of the night out of 50+.. Here's to a good tarmac season for him.. πππ
-
Paul Harrison
-
Nice to see 152 on the list.. Pity 322 n 321 are not down for hedno but hopefully they will just turn up as they're only out on the hard stuff this year..π€

Got to agree that drivers will race where n when they can I reckon.. Also location has to be a factor in the number of cars in attedance. dont forget that the midlands is "in the middle" people like mick sworder, ben hurdman and the scrivens will feel the extra travel.
