390 and 467 since we published the list have cancelled the booking.
For the record all those that have already started on social media that the list is false because they knew these two drivers were not racing well we did not until we were told. It reinforces why we don't publish lists because all it does its bring out the negatives.

Many thanks.

We don't hide driver numbers in fact we have been transparent on car numbers
We have had what has been regarded as the best booking in system administered by the same person for many years
The promoters and BSCDA discussed how they could improve the information released in good faith by promoters in terms of driver lists as drivers were not informing promoters when they had to cancel resulting in negative feedback from the public
It was agreed that we would trial a central booking system with fines for drivers who did not inform the administer of those lists in order to solve that issue.
Coventry opted to stick to its system of punishment which would be to refuse future bookings.
Both systems work really well as very few fines have been issued and it has been a few years since we declined a drivers request.
No mystery just the sport working together to help make the sport better. Our administrator often helps as he talks to drivers face to face every month so no negativity exists between the two systems and I am sure that the central booking system is a good thing but why penalise somebody who has given great service for close to forty years.
The only difference in out come is the publishing or not of the list. Under both systems indervidual promoters can refuse a booking and drivers are not forced to make one.
That should solve your confusion over who is running the sport as that is done by agreement between the BSCDA and Brisca.

Coventry administer its own list using a system that was created and administered by the same person for the last 38 years.
The new system is working well that the other promoters have adopted but so is ours.
Have all the lists that have been published changed before the flag drops........................Yes the only difference is that drivers have become more disciplined to cancel
So to publish something that will be changed, updated or maybe not updated before people travel but early enough to avoid a fine or to keep it private for the one track that accepts every car that wants to race so will always have the maximum of what is available
Are we right or are we wrong ...................................when we used to publish this forum went into melt down at times, drivers felt under pressure from posters and fellow promoters felt it did more harm than good. Three or four years on things have changed so maybe its time for Coventry to publish the lists like we used to whilst some others did not bother and I will give this some thought ahead of next month when we have a Startrax meeting at Coventry on Friday and a Coventry meeting on the Saturday as one promoter currently posts bookings and one does not.

I could have posted the driver list a week ago it had 70 drivers on it so everybody would have been happy since then we have had 5 additions and 15 reductions due to damage, injury or waiting on parts. So as we stand as of tonight we have 60 cars so in the last week with 15 changes to the booking list and the impact that has on this web site in terms of comment we felt and still feel its best not to post as it causes difficulties for us as a promoter and to the drivers who are trying hard to make it.
We would be the only ones to blame on here for all those changes to the booking list as such we don't publish it.
Rest assured and you already know this we will never turn away a driver at a regular, championship or for that matter a World Final meeting or put pre conditions onto drivers in order to get bookings which seems to be the fashion these days.
As such you get the maximum amount of drivers every Coventry fixture and at every championship we stage including the World Final and that's the case for all UK and Dutch registered drivers.

latest update is 66 cars
9 cars dropped out from KL due to damage
5 different cars added
Further updates as they happen
0 -
70 drivers booked update in the week if anything changes
0 -
We have 66 cars booked in two requests which we will accept and six possible if the parts arrive on time.
It could all change if drivers have pick up damage but it looks like we may just make the low 70's
Track has been reworked during the winter with more shale being added rather than removed ahead of this weekend which will keep the cars sideways
We also have 39 Rebels racing and 36 National Mini Stox so its a full meeting and a great start to our season

Exactly where Jeremy, do I say that Premier might not be able to supply?
I will reiterate what I DID actually say before and that is "production can be geared up to cope."
How you can insinuate I have said the opposite is beyond me.
Any driver wanting to run a fuel cell from the start of the season will need to get their order in and pay the deposit as soon as possible. Any orders taken after the end of January may not be ready for the start of the season.

JH, I was not insinuating anything on your part at all to be clear, that was not what I mean.
No issue or with Beefy using this forum to sell a product however to also say they might not be able to supply gives rise to concern given how much this supplier has been posted about on here and facebook but other suppliers exist so not a large issue as long as drivers know they have options hence my post.
http://www.atlinc.com/faqs_racing.html
Should give all the arnswers and in reality they offer the same sort of product.

A director of ATL spent a day/evening at Coventry walked the pits and examind a lot of the existing tanks and he watched the racing. He also talked to members of the BSCDA who at the time felt
He offered to give the same tour of the factory or design and build a specific tank for Brisca F1 and I know that some of the BSCDA members talked to them but not the outcome.
They are approved by the FIA plus others due to the highest standards of testing and they do many different types of tanks, bags and foams.
Those that consider these things on behalf of drivers do a excellent job and they should not exclude other suppliers who have experience and capacity to meet the demand.
I have no financial incentive or link just want to see things improve as such I support the changes but if a supply problem looks possible then it is not a real solution
0 -
Plenty of other suppliers drivers should look at the long established companies like ATL who have plenty and can match demand with supply.
