  5. If you want a quality Panasonic with Hard Disk and DVD, THIS ONE looks to be a very good buy. For a basic DVD only machine, THIS ONE would do the job at a great price
  6. I have a Panasonic DMR E85H. Its a DVD Recorder, with built in Hard Disk, and also built in DVD Reader/Writer. This supports normal DVD-R disks, but also rewriteable DVD-RAM disks.. This means you can store TV programs (or VHS tape transfers ..) on the HD, edit the ads etc out, then transfer the edited progrm directly to the built in DVD Recorder. These are more expensive, but far more flexible to use, than the units with only a DVD Recorder....they essentially do the same job, ie, record source material to a digital format. I tend to use DVD-RAM disks ...these are basically re-recordable, just like a tape, and the newer computer DVD writers can also read them. In this way, I can transfer material from hard drive in Panasonic, to DVD-RAM, then transfer to the PC for closer editing/adding menu's etc...thsi is how I did all the Stox disks. Prices have come down dramatically this year...I paid around 380 quid for the Panasonic, but they can be had for 2-300 now. If you go for one WITHOUT Hard Disk, prices start at around 15o quid. Lidl/Aldi have real bargain basement sales on these, keep an eye out in January hope this helps, cheers, Les 60
  7. No problem....will PM the address to you now Les

    wanted!

This is a grab from a Coventry meeting on DVD The car fetaures a lot in this race, before ending up in the fence
  10. STOP PRESS.......Brian Watson has put together a great DVD of the whole 1981 World Final meeting from a tarmac Bradford, 1981....yes, the Wolf World Final. It includes even the pre-meeting Caravan time trials. Camerawork is great, and quality is very watchable...the speed round a tarmac Odsal has to be seen to be believed, I had forgotten how superfast Rob Bradsell was in the then-nearly-new Chismobile! He has a great battle with the late Richie Ahern, all caught on camera...and SuperStu in typical form also. Also available, the next day (?) at ROCHDALE! Wolfy parading his WF trophy, then a no holds barred typical rough Rochdale, filmed from the start/finish "tin shed" right behind Mr Starter. Lots of cars I'd forgotten about, like Bradsell in his Shale car, Mike Cheetham featured a lot, Rob Lane, Andy Stott, and Doug Cronshaw showing the way to drive his home track. Note this is all Brian's work, I merely advertise it as a satified customer...and you tell me where else you can get the '81 from? Contact Brian directly for details, link at the bottom of my DVD page at THIS LINK ...also some screengrabs there, tell him I sent you cheers, Les
  11. Ray Liddy doesn't appear to have either a Website or Email contact , but he is listed in the Oldham business directory at THIS LINK He has always been very reluctant to release any of his footage on tape or DVD.....which amazes me, but there you go. Les

  17. Yes, folks, the infamous Crewe raceway from 1985, from the same series as my last two DVDs, this captures the fastest, scariest shale oval of the '80s. A near-complete meeting, only missing the Grand National, cos the track lights, erm, didnt Features Burnsy in the borrowed Dave Wadsworth car, bouncing the outside rear off the armco, he's going that fast...also SuperStu in devastating form, and WALLY PITTAM, as described elswhere on the Forum. As a bonus, DVD also includes a superb alternative view of the 1984 Belle Vue World Final race, NOT the Stock Car Mag one, totally different, multi-camera...gives a great view of the enormous Smith hits on Wolfy, and the titanic struggle with 391/304.... ...and also, a crash compilation from 1985, and the great Bradford 1985 WF night "1000" race, feauring Mick Stecko's bid for glory.
