^^^^^Absolutely Spot On Linky!^^^^.....that's what I was trying to say, anyone with a nose on their face can see where this is going ...it's called business and it trumps love of the sport every time these days.
I think Linky hit the nail on the head...it appears to me that brisca F1 does not generate the income for a promoter that justifies the pay out in terms of start and prize money anymore..certainly on a week to week basis.....until the bscda take their collective heads out of the sand and address this I fear F1 is going to increasingly struggle for fixtures.
Don't blame the promoters..if they can fill a stadium for a headline banger meet with minimal payout(and in many cases the drivers are paying to race) why would they bother with F1 any more..a formula that is fast approaching melt down anyway....10k to tart up an existing car?.. a grand to replace perfectly working msd boxes?...let alone the tyre/brake pad/damper charade...it's nuts.
Employ someone to grab this sport by the collar and turn it around..it needs more than a commitee(however well meaning)...put a package together and sell it to promoters ..so much of this sport is stuck in the past.
