  1. Phil Cal, As Carrot Crunchers Sat Nav deputy. I would suggest you go the route that you mentioned..A17 to K/Lynn. A10 to Tottenhill roundabout. Then first exit off onto A134 to Stradsett & continue on A134 to Mundford. Take A1065 through Brandon & continue on A1065 to Barton Mills roundabout, then take 4th exit into Mildenhall. I'm sure you will now see signs to the stadium.

There are other routes that you could take but you would be best to stay on the MAIN roads. Local knowledge is a wonderful thing. Good luck & safe travelling.

I have to do this pigging diversion every day but on sat night i will just cruse down the A11 but will return home via Brandon for a visit to the Midnight Cowboy for the best feed open till 2.30 2 cups o tea quarter pound cheese burger salerd onions and all the trimmings and change out of a £5 note.....unless Old King Cole is going ?

  2. A promoter will never be right ,wrong formula wrong time start wrong tine finish, not enough fireworks to many fireworks.

You have a choice ...Strictly come dancing 6.55 to 8.20 pm or stand in the cold looking at at Brisca F1 stock cars at the great expense of £20

The down side will be seeing "old King Cole" Mr and Mrs Fags and the rest of the gang that makes this sport what it is, roll on next March then we can do it all again.

  3. You are Oh so correct King Cole that is why it took me just over 2 hours from Wisbech to Snettisham . Try telling that to my govener he think i was sat in speedway cafe all day.

Oweing to other sporting interest's it seems a long time since the roar of chevvy's have filled my ears.

Yes it will be dusty, Yes they will water the track at every chance they get. Yes Buster's burgers might taste better with a dusting of shale Yes DOD will get down marked because of this or some other complaint . Am I going ? yes and I am going to enjoy a good night out !

  5. Have a look at "Wisbech Stadium Rememberd" on face book. This will give you a good look at what this track was like and the proud history of this sadly missed venue.

I am well aware that this was never a BRISCA F1 track but there are a lot of F1 fans that have had their way into stock car racing via Wisbech.

There is a reunion at the Swaffham Easter weekend for all old Wisbech drivers and supporters plus a picture display ect .

  6. Swaffham and kings lynn on the same day?? Its been done before, never say never!!

I will say never ..........never will i stop at Swaffham to watch Rotten rods, Banger rods or any other AUTOMATICALLY DELETED WORD (If you can't express yourself without swearing, please don't post!) formula while there is a chance of BRISCA f1's a free pint from "Old King Cole" and a gob full of shale.

  7. I dont think that this will ever happen  with this track so close to King's Lynn. Unless you know something that we dont.

Last thing i heard a certain "Yorkshire" promoter was after getting it home but it would not fit through Sutton Bridge

Never is a long time F1s at Swaffham is on my wish list but i will be a very old man by then :(

  8. Please remember folks that this track is not the same as it was when F1s last raced there all the lump and bump have gone as well as that ***** pipe. Now has a concrete wall same as Ipswich.

Speedworth spent alot of time and effort to improve this track but never had the right formula's to make a go of it. Holding meetings the same night as Kings Lynn and Mildenhall was a real no brainer  What a pity to see this local track declassified

  9. looking good, Foxhall Heath was one of the first places I saw stock car racing, it holds a lot of memories for me

YES! me to ....as this is a family web site i can not go any further on the subject   :)

A walk in the Black Forrest and John Earry......"as long as we know"

I miss em both poor old John has been past the checkerd flag long since but please Mr Speedworth Music Man for old times sake lets hear tomorrow night

A WALK IN THE BLACK FORREST

  10. I'm planning to go all the 5 miles from my home to Saddlebow Road. The added bonus is that I will get to meet up with that Carrot Cruncher again. He can then insult me in person rather than doing it on here. :w00t:

I thought that this was the season of good will, still i can hope that Jacob Marley's ghost visited on Christmas eve

  11. Any ideas on the parking situation? May not be there till around six. Last KL meeting was world final when we parked in the field over the road. If they get the crowd their expecting will we be able to do the same again?

 Wonderd how long it was going to be before this egg was put on the boil

Dont worry about parking because its the same as last years world so you and every one else will have plenty of room to park
