It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that the BSCDA report the passing of Barry Tempest. Barry dedicated decades of his life to the BSCDA, holding the post of Secretary for many years. The true backbone of the committee, Barry was a font of knowledge with all things BriSCA F1. When Barry decided to stand down from his position in 2013 he spent the previous year making notes of his duties, a day by day account of what to expect for his successor. Barry was always at hand to answer questions or settle arguments with his factual knowledge! Barry continued to be a contributor to our BSCDA monthly newsletter and we looked forward to catching up with him around the raceways. He’ll be sorely missed and our thoughts and condolences go to his wife, the Secretary’s secretary Pauline, daughter Debbie, grandson James and all family and friends at this sad time.
