  1. i will explain why I was confused

This is a post about an upcoming meeting. There is usually one of these for every meeting. I think they are superb and are the first place I look for info

a few people have commented on the lack of detail compared to normal

You appear to be annoyed that people actually want to know about YOUR meeting

you have been rude about the very forum that advertises your meeting for free and the people that read that forum

  2. I think one or two Stoxnet posters need to look at themselves in the mirror.

    Here is the HYPE

    Its at BV

WE have 29 Cars racing in F1

    Its a NS round

    The first race is 4pm

It will be a shake down meeting in terms of points with thrills and spills

Only some of the posters on Stoxnet will attend but they will all have a opinion

RR will be 5 as points will be deducted because its Cov on tour, it rained, the chips were cold and it was only saved by epic racing.

    Great programme

    Hot Trophies

Great crew on loan from Startrax with key Covstox people......................unstoppable combination

    On TV

    Cheaper than normal Coventry meeting

Of course all of this is brand new information that was not available and I would like to apologise for our web site not being updated at the start of the week

oh and I apologise for the web site had asked for it to be updated but did not check so good positive point but it would have been fixed earlier if you had sent me a pm or e-mail as I hardly ever read Stoxnet these days as Facebook seems to have taken over as the place to post and read.

sorry i'm a bit confused - do you actually want us to go? or is this meeting just for facebook people?

  3. But 47 over 3 hts would be 2 of 16 and 1 of 15.nobody wants a 15 car heat. The original question was how many cars to take meeting from 2/3 to full format. It did not mention the actual format for 47 cars which would be 2 hts then consolation etc.

At least 48 which would be 3 hts of 16. Any lower and it's 2/3 format for me.

    47 is lower than 48

  4. 56 cars is a great turnout but with 24 in the semi it raises the question as to whether we have 2 potentially tame 16 car support heats or 1 action packed 32 car heat.

I know which option I and many others would prefer but what does the rulebook say ?

I am fairly sure I have heard it quoted before that 51 cars or more has to be 3 heats but does this still apply when 1 of the races has more than a third of the cars as in this case ? If a few cancel and the 51+ rule applies then we could end up with 2 × 13/14 car support heats.

Ive heard this but also heard that the numbers depend on the track

pretty sure Speaky will want the most exciting heat splits possible

he said he limited bookings at the weekender to make it big fields in each race instead of small fields over more races

  5. Maybe this marks the last year for Wainman. Dad thinks so. I hope not!

I think it means his life in stock cars so far, not altogether. Looks like its by the same people that did the John Lund, Paul Harrison, Oval Kings, the F2 ones, so should be good.

  6.

Well done to Chris Forth, i was told that's his first ever final win?

No, it's his second, Chris FORT (not blaming you, perhaps spell checker?) won at Skeggy in 2008. To add to his many, many V8 Hotstox final and championship wins.

    Neil

Thanks for the info It was the guy standing in front of me that told me it was his first final.

Getting the name wrong was my fault. but to be fair on the front of his wing it said Dave Hopkins!

Was the Skeggy the Mo Jones Trophy on the King Lynn post?

  7. Based on previous years I'd estimate that there will be high 30s / early 40s. Either 2 heats or 2/3rds format. And more cars don't necessarily mean better racing.

These meeting previews have been on Stoxnet for a few years now, and as far as I can tell, they are updated with booking lists etc as soon as the information is made available. They really are superb, and are always the first place I look for info about upcoming meetings, whether I'm going to them or not. All the info you need and in one handy place. This is exactly the sort of thing that Brisca should be doing.

As there's no booking list on here yet, I'm pretty sure that it has not been released. And in any case, as I understand it, drivers only book in for meetings a week or so before, so the current booking list might well only have a dozen or so cars on it, and publishing that is more likely to put people off.
