1. Firstly apologies to @carole smith who, in a mad moment, I referred to as Carole Bell. In my defence, Carole rings a bell, and I went to school with a very lovely Carol Bell.
2. In that photo above, you'll notice the:
- blur from the wheels as my car winds up for a final bend attack on Lundeh at top speed
- spectators, so in awe of what's unfolding in front of them, most have to look away
- also the grip of death on the steering wheel - from my ungloved hand
3. @Carl H you're absolutely right. I haven't watched the interview yet as I keep hoying up when I see how skank I actually look. You know I considered Jonathan Abbott my friend. A friend might say "Rog. Move the camera, you look skank" but no; he didn't. I don't know who Jonathan is any more. He's nothing to me.

I've just emailed Dianne Abbott and she has confirmed there are 275 F1 cars booked in !!!!!
And now she's saying there are only three. But each car will do 2,492 laps. She thinks.

It can indeed seem different depending on where you're sitting. As I've written elsewhere, my diff let go exiting T2. I was a passenger for most of the back straight. Taking nothing away from Michael's hit, or Mickey's drive.

@Dave Wayne the highlights went about two years ago. Nobody recognised me. I'm glad I gave you recognition for the car sticker. Decent advertising that. Does anybody do car window stickers any more? If not, I'd be happy to get a load made. We could have a competition on here/F***book for a design. I might just start a thread.
@Goodrich you've got a VERY good memory. Had you not mentioned it, I'd never have remembered. Years ago I had a massive crash in my Radical at Paul Ricard and since then, I have noticed a disconcerting number of weird gaps in my memory. Course I might be going senile too. Anyway, I don't remember what the words were, so I'd be pleased if you found out.
@Carl H the "Chevvy country... Ford's rust" quote was on the shale screen of my Oggy car and the one I built afterwards. Darren Summers was the artist.
