Quick word of warning to anyone traveling to Sheffield via the A38 then the A61 through Chesterfield. The road closures due to the Chesterfield half marathon on Sunday morning will block every possible route through Chesterfield to Sheffield so you will have to find an alternative route. A38 to the M1 then come off higher up to Sheffield is probably the easiest but will add both time and distance to your journey.
