  1. Question 1 - Andy Smith has now confirmed his booking this morning

    Question 2 - Yes there are 88 F2's including 7 Dutch

Question 3 - We have requested that F2's and Ministox arrive NO LATER than 3.30.pm - 4.00.pm with 58 F1's at moment we 174 cars. On the 16th October we had 155 cars. We have organised extra John Deere Tractos with Geoff who does BV and all being well, we shall get on with it. It has proven a VERY expensive meeting with the additional prize money etc to operate and we have Nationally advertisd it - today in the Daily Star, tomorrow 1/4 page in Midlands edition of Mirror.

If it goes as well as 16th and the weather holds all promises a good night.

F1's are two big heats of which Heat 2 will be WORLD OF SHALE FINAL - and F1's are on at 7.pm

We have put the F2 W&Y as a bonus race at 5.30.pm followed by first race of Ministox - Main programme starts with Tooz heats at 6.pm.

The reason for 3 formulae is to try and keep all formulae happy and be fair with moving dates around from BV and to ensure they did not lose a date.

We accomodated the V8's in October and have done similar with the Minis.

Obviously overall there are more cars because it is Saturday night and middle of the country as opposed to Sunday. As a promoter we are always well supported by F2 across the year so have tried to be fair by accomodating as many as possible [ in the hope that we lose some naturally!!!] We have had to restrict Ministox at 28 and three races - I believe 35 wanted to race - and we have turned over 40 F2's away!

It is a big show and probably won't be repeated and hope you enjoy it.

Terry the Trackman rang Sunday evening confirming all OK and finished - he is in Prague this week until tomorrow but rang me last night from Pargue as his son has been in working and all fine.

  2. Below is NMSC list for Coventry Saturday - Apologies that we could not accept everyone who wanted to race due to pit space constraints and than you for your support.

The Booking list is nw up - and whilst the Shoot Out Round has been moved on to October for practical reasons - and what we believe is the best interest of the sport / series, it has not affected driver entries for this event. Those missing are not usuals at BV - but adds to the Oct event!

Thus far the entry is one of the best of 2010 at the Vue plus very healthy F2 entry.

Considerable local advertising has been done [ take at look atthe Mirror NW and Daily Mirror Yorkshire [ 1/4 page ad ] plus Sunday People and Manchester Evening News, Metro and 17 other papers.

Hopefully this together with G&T will bring an enthusiastic holiday crowd as tuesday 17th did and perhaps seasoned fans can `hug' a newbie and keep them informed, take a look at the new full colour magazine available as you come in designed to enhance the sport!

We look forward to seeing you for a great BV session!

  15. Monday night thunder returns to Owlerton Stadium on Monday 12th April when BriSCAs two race divisions make a rare visit for the season opener at Sheffields' Steel City venue.

F1 wise an encouraging early booking list sees a gaggle of top names in the hunt for World Qualifying points and the 2010 race for the Silver Roof is certainly heating up!

The Sheffield season sees only two fixtures for the Big League in 2010, both on paper `must do' events the next in July being the World Championship Semi Final so drivers will be looking for track time.

Monday night's at Owlerton are a flashback to the 70's and the unique oval together with floodlights makes Sheffield unmissable for BriSCA Stock Car Racings top race divisions.

A full booking list will be issued Friday 9th April on www.startrax.info

F2 wise World Championship and World of Shale Qualifying points are at stake and amongst the early entry list are the usual cream of BriSCA F2 sideways exponents.

Ironically, last years World of Shale title winner at Sheffield Andrew Palmer rates the fast, damaging Owlerton oval as one of his most revered as does other top ace Mark Simpson whose Sheffield luck is seemingly plagued. Both make Monday's electrifying line up `under lights' at Sheffield but they face stiff competition from World Champion Mickey Brennan, Bert Finnikin and a rare outing for National Points Champion Dave Polley.

The meeting starts at 7.pm although BriSCA Ministox are in action from 6.15.pm

Sunday 11th features an awesome afternoon, albeit not BriSCA related with 1600cc Startrax Bangers BATTLE OF BRITAIN - and a very healthy line up. More significant is the return of 2 Litre National Saloon Stock Cars after a few years absence and with currently around 20 booked, these are awesome around the tight, fast Owlerton configuration. Add to that 21 V8 Hot Stox for their opening event on their 2010 calendar, a high octane Sunday afternoon starting at 1.pm - if you are bored!
