  17. The UK's 'best' venue on the loose for the most dramatic Stock Car Racing on the planet! Loomer Raod, built in 1973 may be one of BriSCA's most grass roots venues BUT it hosts the very best in action packed Stock Car Racing, you just haven't seen proper Stock Car Racing if you haven't visited Chesterton, known as STOKE due to being part of the famed five towns of the Potteries! Track and pit area wise the venue has undergone a £60,000 revamp with a brand new relaid track, remodelled infield and major infrastructure work in terms of drainage and other improvements - but there will be lots more to come in future seasons. However, no point being Daytona if what appears on the stage doesn't deliver, an area Stoke never ever fails to provide. Sunday 11th September sees the intense competition for the Silver Roof get underway - The drivers raced the first half of the season to make the 'cut' in NASCAR style! Over 100 drivers have competed the 2016 season and at the July cut off, as listed below the 12 drivers below made the final cut - and the scores are reset for a titanic battle across several rounds across the UK, the 11th being the first to be in the hunt for the Silver roof come the double point finale at Belle Vue on October 31st. This series has not yet since it's introduction, failed to deliver pulsating action and an intriguing final line up for the Grand Final - Over 40 BriSCA F1's are expected. But, that's not all! We are proud to host the 2016 Big One for the National Ministox, their Gold roof race and around the confines of Stoke and the unpredictability, it promises awesome action for these talented oval racing youngsters, the cream of UK Junior oval motorsport competitors. And, if all that wasn't enough, we have the V8 Stock Cars and nowwhere are they more 'alive' than Loomer Road! The stadium offers front straight elevated, terraced viewing and a covered Grandstand and raceview bar plus fast food. You can also spread out and picnic on the vast grass banks around the raceway and simply sit back and enjoy the racing [ bring your chairs + picnic for a great family day out! ] Easy access to the pits to get up close to the cars and stars and grab a few autographs! The F1 Shoot Out Contenders! 1 Frankie Wainman 16 Matt Newson 445 Nigel Green 212 Daniel Wainman 220 Will Hunter 318 Rob Speak 2 Paul Harrison 4 Dan Johnson 217 Lee Fairhurst 55 Craig Finnikin 150 Mick Sworder 84 Tom Harris
  18. The new BriSCA F1 World Champion will arrive at the Brafield venue fresh from the big race at Coventry the previous evening and will display his gold roof for the first time. Will it be 318 Rob Speak who retains the title? Will it be a third World crown for 515 Junior Wainman who has dominated many meetings this year and taken the British Championship? Will 390 Stuart Smith win his second title? Will 16 Matt Newson finally take a title win? Will 445 Nigel Green survive from pole position? Or will an unexpected name be displaying the gold roof this Sunday? 20. Brisca F1 Stock Cars, Brisca F2 Stock Cars & National Ministox Start time advertised as 6:30pm, but the meeting will start with Ministox Heat 1 @ 6:15pm General Admission: £18.00 Concession (65 years & Over): £16.00 Concession (Children (5-14yrs): £7.00 Programme: £2.00 BriSCA FEVER comes to Birmingham Wheels Raceway on Saturday 27th August to kick off the Bank Holiday weekend in style, with the BriSCA F1 Stock Cars taking centre stage. There is just one week to go after this meeting until the biggest night of the year – the World Final at Coventry, and all the star names will be eager to get as much track time in as possible on both tarmac and shale before the big night – this is your chance to see them all in one place! 318 Rob Speak passed 16 Matt Newson to win the first semi final at Sheffield while 445 Nigel Green topped a frantic last few laps against 515 Junior Wainman and 217 Lee Fairhurst at Buxton to win the second before winning the coin toss and he will start from pole for the golden evening at Coventry. Last weekend saw British drivers find plenty of success over at Venray in the biggest weekend for the sport in the Netherlands, although they were out of luck in the main World Cup race as home hero 400 Roy Maessen took the gold stripes ahead of 217 Ron Kroonder (who also won the Long Track Memorial Final on Saturday), top UK finisher being Junior Wainman in third. Elsewhere there were a number of wins for 48 Shaun Webster who took the Bev Greenhalf Memorial race and the Dash for Cash Final among a very impressive weekend for the relative F1 newcomer. Last time out at Wheels 422 Ben Riley scored a heat and Final double and it would have been a hat-trick had he not spun on the last bend of heat two handing 70 Aaron Leach his maiden victory, but conditions are set to be drier this time around. The last Incarace session was the European Championship where 4 Dan Johnson raised the title for the second time in his career and 224 Mark Gray dominated the rest of the weekend from white grade, while 388 Paul Ford retained the Trust Fund title. Booking list to follow.
  21. The press release is in Dutch but it loosely translates as The F1 Stock Car World Cup on 20th/21st August at Raceway Venray is a magnificent spectacle. The battle for the cup with the big ears will again be fierce. The crème de la crème of the stock car racing is at the start. A major international competition makes a bid for the highest title in the continent; The World Cup. From England, the participation of top drivers as Wainman, Speak and Johnson already confirmed. The Dutch honour is upheld by among others Kroonder (Assendelft), Maessen (Venray), Keijzer (Helmond) and Smidt (Nijmegen). To hold the event until the last race exciting, is on Sunday in the last race to divide a well stocked prize. Three loyal fans have given a new look to an old concept: "the dash for cash". Ingredients: Only 15 laps to distribute 3,000 Euros, all stock cars start bumper to bumper, the first 10 rounds ringing the cash register for the leader ... the rest is distributed to the finish among the top 5 of the "dash for cash" with a fantastic amount of 900 Euros for the winner. Experts now speak of perhaps the most spectacular stock car race of the weekend. So the bumpers must, during this grandiose ending to a fantastic race weekend. This year we added some extra activities to the program. On Friday August 19th there is a possibility to go- karting from 17:00 till 22:00 hours. Drivers, mechanics and fans can compete each other as a start off for the weekend. On the terrace near the canteen you can enjoy a delicious BBQ planed from 19:00 till 21:00 hours. Everyone is welcome and everyone can join! If you want to participate in the BBQ you can sign in until August 17th by sending on e-mail to abolmers@racewayvenray.com. The cost for the BBQ is 15,00 each and one heat karting (15 minutes) is 17,50 each.

  24. The Startrax publicity machine has kicked into life... Just 3 weeks to go to the first of the big 3 World Series deciders and the business end of the World Championship deciders! It comes no tougher than Owlerton's first decider! 24 starters and just 10 will make it through to the big grid at Coventry Stadium the first Saturday in September! This hurdle has a penchant for sometimes being 'predictable' however, the first three rows of the grid offer 6 of BriSCA's finest talent and most explosive drivers, none I would politely suggest would be out for a Sunday drive and respectable position! Being on the front row of that World Final grid is the ultimate objective. Wainman took the safer option in terms of survival in electing Semi Final 2 propelling Matt Newson, Dan Johnson, Mick Sworder, Rob Speak, Craig Finnikin and Stuart Smith Junior to the fast, flat out and tight and technical Sheffield shale way the scene of so many dramatic big races over the decades! A full format BriSCA F1 event is complimented by the full on action of the resurgent V8 Stock Cars providing an awesome 10 race spectacle of Sunday afternoon Thunder. The stadium affords amongst the finest facilities in UK oval entertainment, race view bars, panoramic race view restaurant, covered atmospheric terracing where the rumble of V8 engines resonates. Excellent fast food outlets and a family friendly environment guarantees a big day out! RESTAURANT RESERVATIONS SHOULD BE MADE DIRECTLY WITH OWLERTON STADIUM on 0114 234 3074 - This is beginning to fill up so don't delay - it is likely to be booked up on the day Provisional Schedule of events: 12.30pm Heat 1 V8 Stock Cars 12.50pm Heat 1 BriSCA F1 Stock Cars 1.10pm Heat 2 V8 Stock Cars 1.35pm Heat 2 BriSCA F1 Stock Cars Championship of the World 1st Semi Final 2.25pm Heat 3 V8 Stock Cars 2.45pm BriSCA F1 Consolation 3.10pm V8 Stock Car Grand Final 3.35pm BriSCA F1 Grand Final 4.00pm V8 Stock Cars GN 4.15pm BriSCA F1 GN Gates Open 11am Prices Adults £22 Concessions £18 Child 5 - 14 £8 Under 5s Free Family Ticket 2 Adults + up to 3 children £50
