The biggest weekend of 2024 takes place at King's Lynn on Saturday 3 August (4pm) and Sunday 4 August (12noon). It is a massive weekend and features Europe's top two Stock Car formulas - the F1 Stock Cars and the 2L Saloon Stock Cars. There are 66 F1 Stock Cars Saturday, 59 F1 Stock Cars Sunday and 55 Saloon Stock Cars booked in. It is also a massive meeting for both formulas with the F1 Stock Cars contesting their second World Championship Semi Final on the Saturday with the 2L Stock Cars qualifying for their European Championship and Sunday will see the 2L Stock Cars then go on to stage their European Championship, the Steve Newman Memorial and Dash for the Cash whilst the F1 Stock Cars will feature another full meeting with the Ben Turner Memorial and a Dash for the Cash. A quirk in the F1 fixtures means that this is the only BriSCA F1 Stock Car meeting to take place in the UK for a over a month which means there is only one place to get your F1 fix this summer! Our fantastic big Stock Car Speedweekend on 3 /4 August will have a big conclusion for both formulas with a Dash for Cash planned for both the F1 and 2L Stock Cars. We are looking for fans / companies / drivers / anyone who may be interested in contributing to either (or both) races as we try and generate as big a fund as possible for our drivers to race for! In addition for the 2L Stock Car Dash for the Cash, Trackstar will match any contributions to the Dash for Cash (up to a maximum of £500) Our thanks go to Paul Nederpel Plumbing and Heating Engineers who have put up a tremendous £2000 for the F1 Stock Car Dash for Cash. This will see £1000 go to the winner with £200 going to the best driver in each grade (race winner excluded from grade awards). Our hard working and long standing officials Mick and Maggie Ivatt have generously been the first to contribute to the Saloon Dash for Cash donating £100 which will be doubled by Trackstar so there is so far £200 in the Saloon DFC pot – what can we get this up to? Saturday 6th July – the BriSCA F1 Stock Cars race in the Dave Leonard Memorial, Dave was a massively respected member of the community and a race the drivers certainly want to win. Lee Lawrence has done a great job fundraising for the cause in Dave’s memory and the prize fund for the race itself meaning the prize fund in total is over a fantastic £2000. Colin Knibbs remembered Our thanks go to a big supporter of BriSCA Racing at King’s Lynn - Mark Kiff and Beechwood Contractors who have added an additional £500 which will go the winner of the F1 Stock Car Final tonight making a very nice total purse for the feature race winner. The extra money is in memory of lifetime F1 Stock Car supporter Colin Knibbs who sadly passed away in 2021 and would have been 80 today. There will be an additional rolling lap for the F1 Stock Car Final in Colin’s Memory when we will invite to put their hands together in applause.
