Brillant turnout for November and it must be the best at the Vue for quite a few years. Will be rooting for the Tesselaar brothers for coming the furthest to race. Really looking forward to it !

Lets hope that this number goes up nearer to the 40 mark. For me that is a disappointingly low number, especially when most of the registered drivers signed the "Save Belle Vue" petition. I'll still be there though ! !Latest booking list

Next year they could have Swaffham on the Sunday as it is now back in orci and Brisca
That's great news. For me that would make the long Ipswich trek worthwhile as I could make a weekend of it.

I'm just disappointed that if the iconic "Belle Vue" raceway is closing at the end of the season, I thought there would be more support from the F1s as they were the formula we watched originally. Would be a shame if they went out on a whimper instead of a bang.
I know modern times and all that....perhaps I'm too old and remember the "glory days" too much!
So am I Ged. I agree with you on all your points and I still don't buy the argument that the drivers don't go because they have work the day after. It is a shame that we don't even get near 40 cars these days and I will actually miss the place, but for me 4 formula 4 to 5 hr meetings and low number F1 cars have spoiled things somewhat. But i'll still be there, maybe ?

Only 23 F1s? How many SUVs? Worth going do you reckon?
No. ! 17 races. 4 formulas again. Got to be well over 4hrs . But be careful Ged Reek, if you express an opinion on here you get slated. At least you are local in Stockport some of us are 2 hrs away

29 cars booked in now according to Startrax Inc 4, 16 & 55.
Sorry , but after thinking long and hard about a 29 car turnout, 17 races, which will probably take nearly 5 hours and a long drive home on a terribly busy M6 I have decided to stay at home. I think you have to ask the drivers themselves why they don't support BV and I don't think it is just the fact of work the day after. Traditional Sunday meetings with work the day after still drew far more than 29 cars. Maybe its the 4 + caravan formulas, maybe its the post and wire fence. Sad to say, but will we really miss BV and its meetings these days ? ? Not sure I will.

The only good things about this very poor turnout are the fact that it could hopefully go up , and the fact that 410 Jelle Tesselaar is racing and he was brilliant the last time he came to BV and won the Final.

Always been a big problem at the "New" Belle Vue. Shortage of F1s and too many other formulas. Shame.
Just hope Belle Vue's stock car life doesn't end on a whimper!
Nearly twice as many as Belle Vue had already!!

Is H54 Sierd de Vries there ?

Any advance on 34 cars for this meeting ?
0 -
Hary , are all the "De Vries" related to each other ?

Pleased , but very surprised that BV is on today. Hope the terraces are safe and not full of snow and ice. !

What amazes me is that Belle Vue in a big city with great motorway access, plenty of reasonably local drivers and pretty good facilities for drivers and especially for fans, can only get 29 drivers while Skegness, out in the countryside, miles from any motorways and fairly basic facilities especially regarding weather cover, can attract 50 drivers. Its so awkward to get to but I expect we will be going if the weather forcast is dry. Please drivers why don't you all support Belle Vue a bit more ?

To be fair I did say almost everyone...
Yes. Fair enough you did, but I'm still waiting for the booking list to make my mind up about going, as the weather could be a problem too. By the way whatever became of "Modstox" Used to see them at New Brighton on Merseyside, it was a very steeply banked track.

Looks reasonably good , only 3 formula for a change. Glad the boring ministox are on first we don't all like them Stockfan 501 ! !
Only need to see how many F1's are going to turn up to make me take the long M6 Trip, and if its as few as Sheffield ? ? ?

Absolutely and so does the fantastic line up. One to watch is 54 Sierd de Vries He went great at Belle Vue last time I saw him

Does it matter? Turn up at 3.15, settle down and enjoy the racing.
40 cars should be good.
No "Linky " it doesn't matter. Turn up at 3:15 , go home at 9:15 get home at midnight after the M6 South gridlock , enjoy the racing and the concessions !
40 cars should be reasonable.

Looks like 455 is in then :-)
Stav, Does 455 matt Armstrong really come from FRANCE as it says on the booking list ? And does he keep his car over here like Daniel van Spijker

Think 1975 . Stadium basic , track bit rough and ready which makes for GREAT racing.
Think 1965. Stadium VERY basic, track VERY rough, makes for decent racing. Toilets disgraceful. Starts 4:30 finishes 9:30 ! ! !

Always like to see the full results pages THANKS . The Dutch drivers did quite well, do they get prize money or just a set fee for attending ?

Sorry " Beaks" but that was stereotypical southern garbage and about as funny as a parachute with a rip in it !

Does it really matter how many F1`s
With over 50 Saloons and over 60 F2`s the F1`s are only support forumla
Just get yourself there Thursday Saturday and Sunday and enjoy
YES course it matters to the "Pure F1" fans on this "Pure F1" forum. Its 137 miles from our house with just a few miles of M6 and M69 and I would not go all that way for the numbers Belle Vue got earlier this season. However I have to admit that the rumoured 48 F1's is a good number and to see the "foreigners" in the other formulas will be interesting. But YES it is always important to see driver numbers at any meeting

Thats a brilliant turnout above, Carl H , and with just over 30 V8 Hot Stox for their Euro Final, the meeting will be worth the long drag up the M6. However my OPINION which always goes down like a lead balloon on this forum, is that there are once again at BV, TOO MANY formulas. Please Mr Promotor try a 3 formula event !
Really looking forward to it though.

Lovely memories Carl H Thank You
Belle Vue 6th Oct 1962 was my first ever Stock car Meeting ! Alan Wardropper (245) and his dad (5) were some of my favourites in 1962. 38 Fred Mitchell was too.
We got to the meeting on the 210 trolley Bus.
Saturday 6th October 1962
Ken Freeman was a pioneering car builder in the very early days of the sport, and cars being put together in the late 1990s still showed signs of his influence. But aside from being an innovative engineer, he was also an accomplished driver, and this final at Coventry was just one of the 43 he won, making him the 30th all-time highest final winner. At Belle Vue the same night, Alan Wardropper won the main event.
