Well done to Chris Forth, i was told that's his first ever final win?

No, it's his second, Chris FORT (not blaming you, perhaps spell checker?) won at Skeggy in 2008. To add to his many, many V8 Hotstox final and championship wins.

  2. Good post Rod and in answer , yes car numbers does affect a lot of fans plans regarding attending a meeting or not , it certainly does for me , and yes there are many a good meeting with low car numbers , it's down to personal preferences , I won't go to a BV with 25 cars but if I was free I would go to a Buxton with 25 cars , I wouldn't go to a Northampton with 40 cars but I would go to a Hensfud with 40 cars etc etc , this is obviously affected by the type of meeting , i.e. if it's a championship of some sort , I will be going to the British at Sheffield whatever the numbers , only thing that will affect that decision is if I'm stuck on the tractor all day ! There are a few on here who like to accuse others of not being real fans unless they blindly go to every meeting no matter what so if my attendance record means I'm not a real fan then so be it .

Yours faithfully , a part time fan 😉

  3. I'm wondering if starting this preview thread so early was a mistake. It's far too early to have any kind of definite idea of the booking list, as drivers will still be trying to get their cars ready, etc.

Anyone looking for somewhere to stay for the weekend, have a look at this thread :- Caravans and cottages available for the Skeggy speed weekend

The "problem" is that some people get all heated up if someone asks a question, innocently or not , instead of just ignoring it or simply answering with "we don't have a booking list yet " . It may shock some of you to find that not everyone who uses this forum scrutinises every single post , just chill y'all .

I don't park trackside Vic , but if I went in the mondeo it would be £5 cheaper to park than if I went in the discovery despite the fact that the mondeo is bigger , of course it would be cheaper on fuel as well (before Broadsword says it ) It's just one of those things that bugs me , apologies for being a moaning so and so

    Track side parking Top Trumps.

Scooby is smaller than Mondeo, is 4x4, drinks like three Oliver Reeds and has just cost me £535 to tax.

    Do I :-

    a) pay £17?

    B) pay £12?

    c) get taken pity on and get let in for free?

    d) have the majority of people take the raging pee and throw stones at me?

    e) see sense and buy something else?

Answers on the back of an old Coventry programme to blah, blah, blah etc etc etc

Scooby is smaller than the mondeo ? Not on the outside it's not , it's not as ergonomically designed inside , that's what's confusing you , that or the petrol fumes 😜

Sorry Carl , I'll stop now
