  1. Hmmm. I'm not sure if I actually want 35-36 cars to attend now, having read the replies so far! My dad, optimist that he is **cough** :whistling: reckons we'll be lucky to get 30, but I am more optimistic, and I'm hoping somewhere north of 30. Maybe 32, as the booking list sits at the moment. Either way though, I'll get to see some stock car racing and hang with my buddies, so I'm happy really! As Darrell Waltrip likes to say....."Buggity! Buggity! Buggity! Let's go racin' boys!!" :chortle: :yahoo:

Awesome , only problem is the weather forecast is predicting the return of winter on Saturday, fingers crossed they're wrong , can't miss the annual Hensfud outing ❤️Hensfud

Sugar! But since when has the weather been accurate, really? I hope in this case it's totally wrong lol!

It was supposed to be cold and damp this weekend but I came back from Stoke with minor sunburn. B)

Anyway, tarmac is nowhere near as affected by the weather as shale.

Good point! But, IF it does rain, I will have to wear my waterproof jacket, which means covering up my NASCAR jacket! That gets a big  from me, so here's hoping this weekends weather is the same as last weekend!

  3. **sigh** Wish I could go! Ah well, only got another 16 days to wait until Wheels, and, if I'm lucky, maybe the track whose name I shall not type lol!! :chortle: To those that are going, hope the weather holds out for you, and it's a great meeting. Can't wait until Mondy morning when I can come back in here and get the results from one of my favourite websites on t'interweb. :bigthumb:

  4. Regardless of how many ones are on the track you can be assured they'll put on a fantastic show to entertain us,they'll be working on their cars in all weathers and until all hours to get them ready, they'll get home at goodness knows what time then be up for work Monday morning with aches, pains and empty wallets aplenty then back in the garage to repair and prepare for next weekend.... And I for one salute, respect and thank every one of them weather there's 26 or 126.

Well said, Franny P! I completely echo those sentiments! :bigthumb: I can't be there for that particular meeting, BUT, hopefully, I WILL be at Wheels three weeks from tomorrow. Woot woot!! :dancehappy:

  5. Right, let's draw a line under all that, and get back to the more important things in life - like, this Semi-Final meeting.

Well said Carl! I for one can't bloomin' wait!! I absolutely LOVE Buxton, and for me it's made so much better by the fact that all three Wainmans are in the big one. Let's just hope that all three make it into the top 10. If FWJJ got in that would be a just reward for what has been, in my opinion, an amazing first season. Future multiple champion in waiting there methinks! My prediction for top three is, in no particular order, 515, 84, 445. But only time will tell..........

Nice write up about our internet history. I remember signing up for OppositeLock forum which was the place to be around 2001/2002 but when Stoxnet was started I had to join that too.

OppositeLock! Wow, that brings back some memories.

Great write up Carl. By the look of the results at that meeting, Mr Witts was on the pace all night!

Gordon Bennett!! OppositeLock!! Haven't heard that name mentioned in a long time!! And I remember Mike's F1 Stock Car Pages very well too. He used to have a chat room on there too, and most nights I was on there, chatting to.......lets see how good the ol' grey matter is lol........Mandy, Hil, Lyndsey, Ice Lady, think Steve C used to pop in from time to time, plus there were a few others whom I cannot remember now, but boy oh boy was that fun!! I remember me and Hil used to have "battles" with the frying pan hahaha!! Ah memories :chortle:
