  1. if ever you are at sheffield and need wifi, its free - no logs ins or accounts needed

wifi is "the_cloud", you just have to agree to a couple of T&C upon connecting [you dont need to give email address either] and you are away

applies to main bar / cafe areas, top floor bars and carvery, and in front of that area too.

  2. from buxtons website

    [29/7/19] Buxton Raceway News Update.

Following a visit from our local council and licensing officer we have been informed we have to STOP people bringing glass and alcohol into the stadium.

Our license does not allow it and could jeopardise its renewal in the future.

Therefore from now on we will be fencing the pit area off and security will not allow you to bring glass bottles/alcohol into the confines off the track area.

With regards trackside parking we are being told we have to stop people on the gates and refuse access to trackside parking should alcohol or glass bottles be within the vehicle so dont bring it with you if you want trackside parking.

This has come as a shock to us as well as we have always turned a blind eye to it but we are being made to put these measures in place to guarantee the continued licensing of the stadium.

Hope everyone understands and works with us on this, as I am sure they will be making spot checks on us.

  3. enquiries to skegness have been poor since hazel sold, and steadily getting worse

hazel used to put unsold copies of world final programmes up for sale on the shop after such events, it gets rid of them to people who want them, instead of going in the bin.

I hope you got through in the end

  4. On a more serious note, from where I was standing the lap boards were unreadable. I could see them, I just couldn't tell what was on them. I only knew it was the last lap when I could see the starter had the chequered flag ready.

you are right. I think Mr Starter is new and to him the boards might be top notch, easy to read at 1 foot away, however for the drivers they are no good, the number needs to be the full size of the board to be readable, there should be specifications for things like this.
