the interviews have been brilliant
far better than the face to face ones - does anyone else think the same?
I think maybe because the driver [or ex driver] is comfy with his surroundings it puts them at ease somewhat
in this format the possibilities are endless
well done to all

Is Jamie Davidson hard to please?
What does Tom do for a living?
How does racing a Sprint car compare to a BriSCA F1?
Would he like to have a go at Nascar?
Does he still build cars for others?

nice to see an interview with a driver we see on track a lot, but rarely in written interviews or on video, can we have more of the same please
very interesting

still very wooden
its great that you are using two or three cameras and the clips are edited together which does appear professional, but you really need a seperate audio track with a clip on mic for each person as the audio is low and we can hear lots going on in the background.

Behind turn’s 3 and 4 of the raceway, and beyond the speedway track is the Health and Safety Laboratory. They bought the site in 1924. At the present time they do testing and evaluation on a huge range of hazardous items. Fire, explosives, crash testing, hydrogen and alternative fuels, batteries and energy storage etc, etc. The list is endless. They basically have the largest and biggest of anything to do with safety testing. A railway line has been constructed, and they used to have some old London Underground trains that were used to reconstruct the 7/7 tube bombings.
during the week in daylight hours you can hear explosions which are controlled to test various things in and around the bunkers between the racetrack and the HSE place, along the Dale Head Road coming from the A53 you will see flagpoles, on the day of testing there will be a red flag flying, and a couple of mins prior to an explosion taking place there will be two sirens or horns blasted to warn people of a pending blast, and another to signify that testing has ended.
for the tube trains look up "tube trains harpur hill" on youtube...

I like these pictures especially the Buxton shots. i don't know if it's still around but there used to a website with pictures of the Buxton rock festivals held at Booths Farm in1972, 3 and 4. I attended 2 of them, the stage was built on a large brick bunker, which may have been where the stand is now? but I may be mistaken, it was a long time ago. I have no idea if the raceway was already up there then. I remember it was bitter unsurprisingly, although I think it was in September. Did get to see Rod Stewart and the Faces,Nazereth, Steppenwolf, Wizzard and Alex Harvey,a few years before I got into Stock Cars.

Sad News - Tim Warwick
in Essential Information

very sad news indeed, another great guy lost
to me, tim was the epitome of budget racers, what he lacked in budget he more than made up for in enthusiasm and entertainment, he showed those who didnt have the best how to go out and mix it with the big spenders, it could be done!
all classes of oval racing need guys like tim
thinking of his family and friends at this sad time
