The Chairmans comments in the programme do make refernce to some fans being stuck in the past😄

KL often do scrutineering on the infield, this would provide a view of a few cars for those arriving early.

There is some footage of the meeting final on Binns515 channel on youtube, Rochdale track surface looking immaculate.

Now thats a pic of what Giant would no doubt call " proper stock car racing" but not so much as an ounce of that dirty brown slurry in sight.
Â
BTW 97WF, help me out, is that the one where FWJ leads 53 by miles when his engine goes sick, or the one where FWJ leads by miles and a backmarker leaps out of the home straight plating

Oh, no chance then. Charlie wont race shale, but John, Sam and Neil do, so doubt ill make it, not a problem, i like watching too . Not sure if i will have the lorry fixed in time, hoping to get it fixed this week.
Have you seen any 53 fans loitering near your lorry recently? there are no moral boundaries when it comes to getting their man a place on the starting grid.

I can see at least 2 reserves being used ....
Â
Whats my chances of getting in then?
I don't even know where the list of reserves is? I think i was about 5th.
Â
You are listed as 5th reserve on Startrax website behind 5,348,93, and 11, however the ultimate sacrifice may be required as number 6 on the list is car 53.

If you charge per person then its open to abuse as car of 4 drop two persons off 50 mtr from the entrance and only pay for 2 to camp. To prevent this the whole camping area would havr to be secured and patrolled just adding loads of expense.

As has been mentioned numerous times.
Â
It would not be difficult to surely get a consensus on child or OAP admittance prices for all tracks or all Brisca F1 meetings? After all Brisca are basically the promoters group so why has there always been such a difference in the pricing?
Â
We all probably know why, but it certainly does not help in some circumstances especially when you have a local track, and then want to travel further and find the fees, petrol, make that trip just too dear, and/or start times.
Â
These are easy problems to fix in reality.
If Tesco Morrisons and Asda had a concensus on how much to charge for a tin of beans then this would be anti competitive or maybe even a Cartel. Nothing wrong with promoters competing now and again. Perhaps when they do not have enough cars for a proper F1 meeting they could consider a more attractive pricing policy.

Mini stox have been moved to a later date due to lack of pit space.

You appear to have omiited boxing day 1976 from your list. Approx 68 cars appeared at Hyde road, my first ever visit to Belle Vue. Not an ideal first date as the track was like a bog and only 5 races were run, SuperStu strapped on some mega treaded JCB type tyre for the final and won without breaking sweat. Mick Noden was not in attendence.
Â
I have that meeting down as Monday 27th December, with Sheffield the next day on the 28th.
Â
Carl - Appreciate you adding me as an acknowledgment, but could I make one slight amendment please?
Coud you take out the .co in the website name Thanks
Â
Yes but in the 70,s when xmas day was saturday then boxing day was very much the monday as football, horse racing and big retail were not allowed on sundays.

Never been to Birmingham on a football home match day, so is there no access to the car park until after football has finished ?
As long as you dont show up beteen 4.35 and 5 when the footy crew are departing then its never been an issue in the past.
Â
59 cars on the list now plus tooz and minis and all for just £19, and Tom is hopefully going to give Stuart another driving lesson, unmissable.

Nice to see Incarace not charging the £1 shootout round premium charged by other promoters.

The ratio between surfaces would have been better if Shootout Round One had been at Birminham on 1/9 instead of Belle vue on the previous weekend.

What I want to know is, if the 1 x sandwich and water only rule (as it reads), is being enforced, then what options are they going to provide? What do people who don't eat meat get? Chips cooked in the same grease as the meat? A packet of crisps from the track shop? No thanks.
Â
Also, the daily recommended water intake is something like 8 pints. Given how hot the weather is at the moment, it should be even more than that. Are they going to let someone bring a 5 litre bottle of water with them?
Â
Don't bite the hand that feeds you to pay for your shiny new pit gate.
Just nip into the bar, it is a legal requirement for all licensed premises to provide drinking water FOC, although they may charge you for use of a container to put it in.

"Large quantities of food and drink are not allowed and strictly no alcohol or soft drinks."
Â
Seems to be a bit of a contradictory statement, one can bring in a small qty of drink as long as its not alcohol or soft, sounds like water only then for those who dont want to pay the inftated prices in the stadium.

I think it was that car, and the track looks like Blackburn I only remember it at Bburn and White City
The photo may be at Blackburn but when the car made its only appearance with the F1,s it was at White City. It only lasted a very few laps, it was I think also supposed to do a ramp jump over thus allowing MPP to advertise an F1 doing a Evel Knieval type stunt but as with many other MPP adverts the reality did not match the hype.
Â
On the subject of Hell Drivers, who was the driver who had the car done up to be Adolf Hitlers Limo, anybody got any pics pls.

Serious question. This famous fish and chip outlet at Mildenhall... do they do gravy? Or is it too far south for that?
Being a long way from Blackburn does not make it south, its East Anglia which is just like the North without the hills so for sure you will get some gravy as they do expect people to request gravy with pies. Yes shock horror, pies reached East Anglia in about 2003, mind you they are pies in the southern style so dont be expecting a Hollands Meat Pie, or Brisca,s best pie the cowdenbeath stadium Scotch Pie with its harder than Kev Smith crust.
Â
80 F2,s and 40 F1,s and no other support for £20, a bargain, see you there.

I wish they would fill some of the down time they have every year by giving the overseas time trials a few extra laps, seems daft to travel all the way from nz to be given a few laps practice and 2 hot laps. Even 3 sets of 3 hot laps would be better and let them get abit of rhythm.
They have a have half hour free practice session at 12.30 long before the time trials. Last time we had a WF at Ipswich you could not even run a car in the pits before 5pm so just occasionally things do improve.
Â
Mind you lets be honest, you could give the overseas entry 2 days of practice and its still not going to turn them into credible challengers for the title.

Going to be fun watching the 6ft 2" Gordon squeeziing into a car designed for Ryan who is a little more vertically challenged😊
I guess modifications to Pedal positions and Seat must be underway.
