  14. Pit News: 1 - Adjusting the carb 269 - Front corner work 22 - Hub seal leaking 577 - Oil leak investigation. After the first race the team had found a blanking bolt at the front of the engine had backed off. Retightened for Ht.2 but leak still present. The plan is to lift the front of the engine up for a proper look.

Heat Two Happenings: 403 leads the first 5 laps 120 takes over up front 453 spins in turn 3 515 elbows 1 aside down the home straight The top 3 at halfway 120, 242, 452 are being caught by 408 124 & 403 stop in turn 3 3 to go 408 has got past 452 1 is also ahead of 515 now 242 in 2nd place takes too much speed into turn 3 coming to the flag and drifts wide letting 408 through Casey takes the win

Pit News: 172 - Tracing an electrical fault 349 - Luckily no engine damage after the tangle with 526 Porta power req'd on the front corner 345 - Changing gear set 1 - Doing likewise 120 - Steering binding when turning to the left. Steering link rod fouling on the bulkhead hole after a clout during the race. The Evans lads on the spanners for 368. They are not planning to race F1 this year and are considering a move to F2s as easier to run.

  21. Heat One Happenings: 569 retires before race start. 526 & 349 tangle in turn 4 coming to the green. Red flag for a chaotic start. 569 rejoins for the restart. 544 & 269 lock together in turn 2 on the first lap. 22 goes around on the back straight. 399 & 172 tangle in turn 3. 124 leads at halfway. 408 & 1 are closing. 22 spins in turn 3 this time. 408 leads at 5 to go. The World Champ cannot close the gap as Ant takes the win.
