However if you are coming along you are more than welcome to pay on the gate instead of booking but if you let us know what you are intending on bringing we can advertise the fact. We have had lots of potential buyers on the phone asking what cars and transporters are going to be there, in particular three drivers looking to purchase Lightening Rods. So if you have a Lightening Rod which you would like to move on bring it down to NIR on Sunday because at least three racers will have cash burning a hole in their pocket! Remember if you do book and pay in advance you will receive an extra admission pass and bookings and credit card payments can be taken up until Saturday evening. Plenty of traders are coming along all with plenty of Christmas bargains. If you are building cars over the closed season come along and pick up all your bits and pieces. If you are in the FII brigade don’t miss the Rebels Engineering stand which will have gear kits, half shaft kits, lightened brake discs plus the chance to have a look at the all new singing and dancing uprights which will be on the market very soon. Last year we opened the pit gates later to reduce the amount of inter trader selling and this worked very well giving buyers the opportunity to snap up the bargains when the gates open to the public at 10a.m. on the dot. This market is open to any formula, feel free to bring along your car and place it up for sale where you will have genuine people looking to buy all in one place. Thanks to everyone who joined us at the 2008 Stock Market event, we had more stands than last year and although the weather tried to spoil it early on it finally picked up for when we opened the gates to the public. Just a reminder to everyone who has items for sale or on the look out for bargains.....Stock Market is only a few weeks away! Every year Northampton International Raceway is hired to hold a Giant Oval Racing Stock Market. It is run by Oval racing enthusiasts for all Oval racing folk from any formula. There are plenty of stands including the countries top oval racing traders along with lots of racers filling their car boots with many a bargain and of course lots of different race cars to view and buy ready for a winter in the garage. Christmas is just around the corner and there will be plenty of overalls, racing kit, photos etc. Even if you don’t actually race, this could be a great chance to acquire some memorabilia. It will be a day out with a difference for all race fans with lots to do throughout the day. On track the NFR FI Two Seaters will be present doing what they do best – giving you the chance of an adrenaline pumping white-knuckle ride. Last year the majority of race cars were sold on the day - prepare for the new season by acquiring another car or selling your old one. The track will be available at certain times during the day where you could try ‘before you buy’. If you are selling your race car why not let the hopeful buyer test or demonstrate the machine yourself, the cost is only £15 per driver – no need to book just sign in and pay at the pit office. Turn unwanted race gear into cash or obtain a bargain (or hopefully do both). You would be amazed at what people will be looking for! There will be plenty of space for cars to open their boots and lay out your old equipment and stand prices have been held for a seventh year. You don’t have to book in advance you can just turn up on the day, however if you do pre-book you will be issued extra admission passes. You don’t pay for the size of the stand so bring as much as you want and any type of cover if you wish. For all you F2 engine specialists and builders look out for a Heenan and Froud DPX2 water brake Dynamometer capable of 200bhp a must for any engine shop. FII shortened gearbox kits will be on offer plus new type extra strong heat treated half shafts or complete kits will also available (both Capri and Escort length) LD Axles front and rear will be available for any FI racer or Heritage builder. Plenty of vans and car boots will be brimming with race gear and garage items. Not just spares but race cars are on the bill too. Lightning Rods and Rebels, FII’s and FI’s plus lots, lots more for anyone thinking of changing formula, upgrading or joining. Don’t worry if you haven’t booked in, simply turn up between 8.00a.m. and 10.00a.m. to set up your stand and get ready to make some pennies. If on the other hand you are just spending, arrive at 10.00a.m. when the turnstiles will open, just make sure there is room in your car for all the bargains you will be taking home! Bookings are flooding in for this weekends Stock Market. Plenty of different formulas are booked in to appear including FI’s FII’s, Rebels and Ministox. We also have several transporters this time, one of which is currently on Ebay and is worth viewing at Stock Market before the auction comes to an end next week. There will also be a double car trailer on offer which currently carries two rebels but can be easily altered to fit two FII’s, Ministox, Legends etc etc. We will also be seeing plenty of car boots and vans turning out with lots of end of season bargains – the perfect chance to pick up good deal. The regular traders will be in attendance ready to offer you everything you need to keep you busy over Winter in the garage. A Christmas Shopping experience you will actually enjoy!! This week the phone has been red hot with bookings for the Stock Market. Plenty of cars from different formulas are booked to appear and hopefully go to a new home, including two Brisca FI’s in the batch. We also have several race transporters hoping to find a new race team, from coaches to a 7.5 tonner plus an immaculate 18ton MAN which currently holds two rebels but ramps can easily be widened to fit almost any type of race car. There have also been plenty of traders placing their bookings including the new and exciting stockcar jigsaw trailer.
