IMO the grandstand is the best place anywhere to Watch (and for newcomers understand) a brisca race. It’s amazing, If you have never witnessed a race from there just try one race.

Hi Mark,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I cant imagine what you were both going through, Tracy sounds like she was one hell of a strong, brave person
Best wishes

Poor old Glen, Say he was a Stock car fan then an extra £2 would be the least of his worries.
Come on get up there on saturday and enjoy it while you can. Most tracks wont have a choice but to increase their prices next year.
2009 will be tough so get down if you can to your local track and give them your support. I for one will be there and cant wait

Its ok saying £17 is great value and comparing with NEC etc but they are once a year events. Those who travel the country supporting their favourite sport are expected to dig deep and grin and bare it - well enough is enough. If I'm expected to pay a pound short of £40 for entry to Cov for a family of 3 for next year then it looks like its the first Saturday of the month at home for us.
Just as an example ( and I accept other promotions might hike there prices next year) but based on our family of 2 adults and one child we will pay:
Skegness £26
Kings Lynn £26
Startrax £30 with Kidz club - great idea Steve
Incarace £32
Coventry £39 (09/10)
Sorry I did not inclue Buxton as I can't remember the admision price
What I'd ask the BriSCA promoters is:
Where is the incentive for the travelling fans who contribute hundreds if not thousands of pounds a year to watch the sport they love. There have been comprisons with football - at least football fans get season tickets at reduced prices.
Bit silly comparing next years cov prices against this years current prices
It boils down to if you want the top flight venue we have to survive
its 2 pounds more than you were paying in 2006
Ask yourself these questions
How much more petrol have you spent on stock car meetings since 2006 ??????? How much more have you spent on food to take to stock car meeting since 2006?????
How much has Gas / Electric gone up since 2006 (all stadiums need gas and electric)??? Coventry Stadium has been hit as hard as any of us so how much have their running costs gone up since 2006?????
maybe we should take the F1's to barford and have that as our #1 facility then we would all be happy paying £12.00 for a portaloo

I have seen the state of the terraces after meetings with rubbish strewn everywhere. To be frank there are so many lazy people at stock car meetings with no respect for the promotor who will simply just throw their rubbish on the floor (I have seen it myself many times). I do see how the guys at Skegness get frustrated! It doesn't take much to take your rubbish home and if everyone did this there wouldn't be an issue.
