    The Venue:

    Castle Lloyd Farm Raceway, Red Roses nr Pendine. SA33 4PT

    A fair few of you will have visited us before after hosting BAS rounds in 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010. (It's the welsh track overlooking the sea!)

     

    If you'll be using a Sat-Nav, please ensure you travel via Red Roses (use the A477) as many other roads are not suitable for some of the larger vehicles.

     

    Gates Open at NOON on Thursday August 4th, and will close at NOON on Monday August 8th.

     

    Gates will remain open throughout the weekend. On entry, tickets will be issued and passouts given as you leave the field, if you dont' have a passout when you return, then unfortunately you'll be asked to pay again, so please ensure that you obtain a passout when you leave the field.

     

    Elite Bars are on site, throughout the weekend, and return the following week for the Fastest Person On Welsh Grass.

    The Bar will be open from 5pm until 1am on Thursday night, with disco by DJGJ at night.

    Bar will be open from 11am until 1am on Friday with disco by DJGJ at night.

    Bar will be open from 10am until 1am on Saturday with Disco at night. Saturday night is a fancy dress night so get your costumes sorted!

    Bar will be open from 10am until 1am on Sunday with Karaoke/Disco on at night.

     

    Scrutineering will start at 2pm on Friday August 5th... going on until the time notified by NASA.

     

    If you're not a racer and you want to leave the venue, Narberth Minibus Travel, one of our sponsors are on site all weekend to take you to your destination.

     

    Racing will start at 9.30am on both Saturday & Sunday August 6th & 7th.

     

    Time permitting... the league will be putting on a trackside parade of the 8 finalists in each class, as well as a trophy presentation at the end of the meeting. The league believe very strongly in this, but the throwing of water is strictly prohibited. If time does not permit this, there will just be a trophy presentation at the end of the meeting.

    A few more questions answered...

     

    Admission for adults - £20 for the weekend,

    12 - 16 year olds & o.a.p's - £10 for the weekend.

    CHildren under 12, free!

     

    £5 camping fee per unit.

     

    Gates open to venue at 12 noon on Thursday August 4th...and close on Monday August 8th.

     

    There is a fairground on site, from Thurday onwards, opening times unknown.

     

    There is a taxi/minibus service on site throughout the weekend to take you wherever needed... I'm hearing a lot of rumours that people will want to go to oakwood theme park etc on friday, this is not a free service.

     

    Each unit will recieve 2 bin bags on entry to the field, please use them, we will endeavour to clean the majority of rubbish throughout the weekend... with numerous collections on friday, saturday and sunday.

    5/6/7 hours of racing

    but no facilities as such (unless one of the big meetings, but you then pay more, not sure why as more people attend so more income)

    no stands to shelter in

    no bar

    no seating

    no proper toilets (most clubs)

    no firm standing area (most clubs)

     

    you get what you pay for simple

     

    £2 isn't life changing money to our way of life and what everything costs just to live

  4. Hope this doesn't get deleted but worth the try as it affects so many of us in one way or another

     

    Some autograss racers decided to raise some money for cancer research, and the idea was to do a cheeky calender to raise funds for the charity. One calender features the male drivers the other the females
