I meant that Andy, just poorly worded by me. I know for certain that both Trackstar and the BSCDA would have loved to have had the Dutch over.
Hopefully the situation will change again soon!
No worries Dave 👍
Also, I'd like to apologise if my comment came across in the wrong way. I clearly didn't read it back and I hope it was received in the way it was meant, which was just an explanation.
I'm normally good at reading how something may sound and clearly failed here 🤦🏻♂️

Shame they had to turn down 8 Dutch too.
Dave - they didn't turn down the 8 Dutch to race. If the Dutch came over they would have to go into self isolation straight away for 14 days as per government rules so wouldn't be allowed to race anyway.

the interviews have been brilliant
far better than the face to face ones - does anyone else think the same?
I think maybe because the driver [or ex driver] is comfy with his surroundings it puts them at ease somewhat
in this format the possibilities are endless
well done to all
We know the lockdown series has been popular and with lockdown being in place it made sense to take this approach to keep people entertained. Imagine this lockdown had happened 15+ years ago!
There has been three different types of interviews in terms of Off Track series so far:
1. The original Off Track, asking questions drivers have never been asked before and to get an insight into the drivers lives away from the track.
2. Off Track Small Talk, an intended season build up at MWA. Looking back, Looking forward.
3. Off Track Lockdown, using the opportunity that lockdown brought to get a real insight into a drivers thoughts, opinions, and careers.
All taken with an approach of 'as a fan of the sport what would you ask if you could'.We know there's more to explore in this area but we don't want to use up everything at once which is why a break is coming soon but the content doesn't stop there. We will be bringing more out in differing formats which we hope you will all enjoy.

Is Jamie Davidson hard to please?
What does Tom do for a living?
How does racing a Sprint car compare to a BriSCA F1?
Would he like to have a go at Nascar?
Does he still build cars for others?
theres a few
All of the questions asked on the night of the dinner dance followed the same format for this series and we (the PR team) wanted to ask questions other than just stock car related ones. It was a way to get an insight into a drivers life away from the tracks.
We have various interviews lined up for the 2020 season which we are sure fans will enjoy and we have plenty of time to ask plenty of questions going forward.
For a first attempt at something that hasn't been done this way before and the fact it comes from an official source, it appears to have been a huge success and everyone wants to build on that success.
As a fan first and foremost, having an official body providing these sort of things is what has been missing from the sport and it's fantastic that it's now happening.
Also, the BSCDA website has been having a makeover behind the scenes and should be available very soon.

Yes, we are aware the sound isn't optimal and we are looking into solutions going forward.just realised that I missed this last week
good stuff again
not sure I'd be able to answer the quick fire questions like that
but i agree that the sound could be better
As you can probably tell, they were all (bar one or two) filmed in the same location and all on the same night.

Great idea Andy
The top 3 didn't get there trophies due to dispute, i spoke to Lee, so maybe they will be presented at KL.
I thinks they should have fined him (his winnings), and given him a warning, but hey, he's been reinstated, brilliant.
He is the youngest final winner ever, and he only left school the day before, and his 4th meeting, well done Finn, delighted for you.
If we are going to keep going early, maybe that is the problem that need addressing, tell us all the lead car will NOT be going till the flag drops, on all starts and restarts.
It was a great achievement by Finn but I do believe the youngest ever final winner is still FWJ. He won his first final on 1st November 1987 which was just over 3 weeks after his 16th birthday.

Is he sponsoring the next Sheffield as well ?
All being well, yes...apparently, there are plans for JD to ensure suitable season-long grid positions for both #1 and #4 immediately in front of #84 and #464
Is that to keep #464 out of the way?

Just out of interest Hary, are UK84 & UK464 able to race in the Wild Card race and if so, what happens if one of them wins?
I presume 33 & 36 are able to enter as they are Dutch registered.
Today the dutch will race for the 1st wildcard for the World Final. It will be a extra heat on the end of the day.
Not sure about the Falding's.

G N result has changed full official result is - 220-321-422-34-16-4-515-212-2-335-390-462
Thanks to Nigel and Ricky for that
Had a feeling that would happen. Was told by a driver that 175 must have been on the infield for 2 laps at least.

Only top 10 given.
Ricky - there could be a change in the result. You'll need to speak to someone to find out as I've been told that one or two cars may not have been in the top 10.

King's Lynn - Sunday 8th November - 1:30pm
in Essential Information
Posted
I think what Rod was getting at was the fact that it could have been like the Shootout rather than qualifying for a one off race.
In hindsight, it could possibly have been done that way and may have tempted more drivers to do more rounds (like Buxton) and with the points being as close as they were going into King's Lynn last week it could have allowed drivers to play their Joker at the next one (which we now know won't take place next week).
It could have been an interesting final round rather than just a one off race but even so, a one of race could well be interesting too.
There is no right and wrong really in this case as around mid-July it looked like we wasn't going to get any racing at all this year so for me, I'm just thankful that I was able to attend and see some excellent racing, even at Buxton in the terrible weather.
Let's all hope that we can have a more normal season in 2021!
