  1. Thanks for your review after watching. If I want to see a one camera version I will watch those on youtube, think it was impossible to catch all the action with just one camera. Even Premier Sports didn't catch most of it with so many cameras.

one man filming who knows what he's doing can catch far more than 5 men filming that dont

i much prefer a one camera view from down the straight, with the occasional alternative view. you can follow the race much better around an oval.

  2. great idea. and presentation. do 4 or 5 diff colours of each model (or every driver eventually) and perhaps ask ed creations to sell them at the tracks. The boxes look a bit big for the model that gets built. I'm sure you will eventually get boxes cheap enough by shopping around but prices seem reasonable enough. I dont personally like the ministox shape , although maybe others will do. The f1's look great

  3. Hi all!

I've never been to Buxton before, but I'm planning to go on the 1st August.

What do you put into the Sat Nav (Tomtom)?

    Is there a postcode?

Their official address is about 20 miles away!!!

The closest you will get is using SK17 0, then type in Hollinsclough Rake as the road. If you then follow the tom tom as it tells you, from the A53, you'll see the sign for the track and follow the (almost single track) lane right up to the main gates. Easy enough to find..once you know where it is!

Basically it is off the A53 half way between the Travellers Rest Inn (nr Flash Village - Highest Village in Britain) and the top of Buxton Town

  4. Was this the car that won a race (final?) at Rockingham about 4 years ago?

yep the black one did in 2006, think it debuted there and then raced at Northampton, cant remember seeing it appear again until the NEC show, is it same car though, that was a FWJ

  5. I do hope you reconsider. Each year they get better and better, and now in Widescreen  - Even a cut-down-season-highlights would be a must buy. Save space by cutting down on the onscreen race results time, hay hay hay it's DVD, Widescreen = Flicker free if paused.

Yeah that would save a little bit of space. Just thought I would say again, that I am over the moon with this package. I cant fault it at all - well packaged and easy to figure out whats what with full results and everything I can even survive without the commentary. My 6yr old son watches them nrly every night.

I know a bit about filming myself and I can honestly say its one of the best filmed productions I've seen, and appreciate the skill and knack you have in every race I watched, which were easy to follow. It was good to see a few of the meetings I missed especially Bristol. With the likes of you and the 2008 Stockcar Photo Book, you and Colin C should be semi-employed by BriSCA

PS I watched some early 80's saloon world final meetings at cowdenbeath a few weeks ago, and I nearly threw them out the window - a 5 yr old could have filmed better - sorry if the guy reads this (well I'm not) but I dont know how he could manage to film a whole saloon stockcar world final race in the 80's without actually capturing a crash! I would have rather have not seen them than subjected to what I had to watch lol)

Really sorry to hear that you might not have time for this full package again :( If you ever wanted help with the highlights part at the end I could be of assistance, as I know how long that can take.

  6. cheers, got mine today. Appologies for the 2 heads during the world final, thats my dad with cap and me next to him

    Its you to blame...

Many thanks, I received within a couple of days and I watched it all within another 3 or 4 days. Makes for a great collection of 2008 season. Shame about the two big heads in the World Final  but at least we know we didnt miss too much.

  7. I was emailed, mine was shipped on 12th and I still aint seen it...dont panic Mister Mainwaring!

Mind you half my other Christmas deliveries havent arrived yet either

Will leave it until after New Year and then chase it up if it still hasnt arrived.

  8. Disc No.16 is worth the money alone! And agree with above comments regarding wide-screen :o

Can i pre-order my 2009 set now please.

Thanks to the awesome reviews of the above I'm going to treat myself and order a set. The widescreen and onscreen leaderboard seem just the ticket and are nice touches.

Who can complain at less than £1.50 a dvd!
