When I raced f2's in the mid 2000's as a white top I would struggle to get a booking for the speed weekends, it was the same for the euros too. Sadly tar tracks just dont get the numbers now so it's great to see such good numbers this weekend. As for the f1's yes they are the support so it's only fair they are restricted it a good addition.

[Northampton - Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th July (European Championship)]

I really enjoy this weekend and look forward to it every year. It's not as big as the world final but it's not off from being two days racing for the price of one world final night. I'll be camping which is a rip off but there's a few of us sharing a big tent so it reduces the coat a little. I also like being able to bring in my own food and drink so no queuing at the bar and a far better choice of food.

[F1 Drivers news letters 1986-1989]

Ive got a small pile of drivers news letters from the mid to late eighties given to me by Martin Cave (435) years ago. They are dog eared but make interesting reading. Free to a good home and I can bring them to Coventry tomorrow.

For sale is my Clarke MIG230TEC Welder 210 amp and spot welding timer, its the one with a 3 meter euro torch so no messing about with a crappy built in torch. It works well and can make an average welder like me look good! Comes complete with regulator and and spare tips i can find.
