  1. Hi, I was wondering if anyone has a spare programme to sell from yesterday, (3rd April). Despite getting there 30 minutes before 1st race, they had sold out. It was my 1st meeting for 4 years or so, I have a complete set of every meeting attended since 1970, so could do with this one. If not would someone lend me 1 so I can copy it. Ta.

  2. After much deliberation, and because my shelves are bowing under the weight, I have decided to sell my total collection of SCM. Every edition from Winter 1980 to Aug 2013 inc. WF specials & most Annuals. 9 x original SCM 'corded' binders, 6 x magazine 'metal rod' binders, 8 x ring binders with mags in individual plastic sleeves, 23 volumes in all, £100 for 339 magazines. No splits, need it gone in 1 lot, cash, buyer to collect Burton-on-Trent area. Geoff.

Hi, I haven't posted on here for donkeys years, but felt the need. Yes this is def Long Eaton, the bottom end of the pits. The building with the tall chimneys is the "Half Crown" on Nottm Rd. It closed in 2015, was demolished and replaced with housing.

We think that it was the pits at Long Eaton and the building shown at the far end may have been a house on Nottingham Road [the opposite side to the Nottingham Road Car Park]

  5. I like these pictures especially the Buxton shots. i don't know if it's still around but there used to a website with pictures of the Buxton rock festivals held at Booths Farm in1972, 3 and 4. I attended 2 of them, the stage was built on a large brick bunker, which may have been where the stand is now? but I may be mistaken, it was a long time ago. I have no idea if the raceway was already up there then. I remember it was bitter unsurprisingly, although I think it was in September. Did get to see Rod Stewart and the Faces,Nazereth, Steppenwolf, Wizzard and Alex Harvey,a few years before I got into Stock Cars.

  6. Placing this ad on behalf of Mick Stecko. This genny is a great starter and very quiet runner. I can vouch for its reliabilty as we used it all over the Bank Holiday while camping at a grass track meet. Only reason he's selling, is he's moving onto a boat shortly so lots of gear gone or going. Bargain at £120. Nottingham area or he's taking it to the Sept 6th Cov. Contact him on 079811 62779.

  7. I have heard that the Smiths are feeling the effects of the credit crunch and cant afford the diesel, probably understandable at the amount of meetings these drivers do!!!!!

No idea why the Neachells arent there, bit disappointed really as the go well round the Norfolk Arena.

Drivers that are intending to go to Scotland will already be thinking about how much thats going to cost so maybe economising ,can't see Andy wanting to miss Knockhill.I bet it costs 500k in diesel! The Neachells have got to find some extra cash to get Georgia out on track,so they may miss a few meetings.
