  1. As for child entry costs, I think the problem lies more with what you define as a child compared to an adult.

     

    Generally speaking, a 4, 5 or 6 year old will not appreciate or understand what is going on, and more than likely is only there because the parent(s) dragged them along instead of arranging childcare. So understandable for their entry to be a lot cheaper / free.

     

    However, a 14, 15 or 16 year old is going to get the same experience from the meeting that somebody twice or three times their age will. So why should they pay less for it?

     

    But the question is, at what age does that level of understanding change? It's open to interpretation and therefore not everybody will agree with the age limits set out by the promoter.

     

    Simple answer is they’re children. Nobody can just flippantly assume that families will still turn up and pay those admission prices put on children by paying adult prices. What’s next from promoters, begin charging 12 year olds over the height of 5’11 full price? Realistic prices for children in this era have been taken advantage of for a long time now, and my opinion is simply greed. I’d want more children through my gates than less including adults bringing them, so price appropriately to keep custom returning in my view.
