  2. I am hoping a like minded Stock Car supporter can help me out by collecting 100 stock car mags from Blackpool and bring them to a track? I would like to buy them and have said that I would but I can't drive due to a motor cycle crash in October last year. I do attend the odd local meeting and I have friends that travel to many other tracks. So can someone pick them up for me and let me know what tracks they could take them too? I will pay for the mags via PayPal and I am happy to contribute to some fuel for the efforts. Thanks Andy

  3. Hi Les

I will buy them. I will have to get them collected from you or delivered to a track and collected on my behalf as my travel is limited due to a broken leg. I can pay you via cheque or paypal which ever suits you best. Let me know you thoughts about collection, if they have to be collected immediately again let me know because at the moment I'm not sure who I can ask.

    Thanks

    Andy

Ok folks, i'm under instructions from "The Boss" to get rid of these or else !!

Approx 100 Stock Car Mag magazines, some full year sets, some duplicates. Most are in good condition, a couple have some damaged covers. Ranging from 1976 to mid 1980s. Don't ask me to list them all, they go as a job lot, buyer collects...or possible delivery if needed locally.

To be collected from just outside Blackpool.

£50 quid the lot...considering these are selling for one pound or more each on ebay, someone could do well here.

PM me if interested, or if you want a chat, will PM my phone number.

    thanks,

    Les

The balancer is the same make but single phase, cant see a model number. Balancer has error fault on but could be used to clean tyres etc. £85

  5. The tyre machine was tested in December 2011 and has been taken out of service because it wont take 20 inch wheels. Its three phase.

The wheel balancer spins up but shows an error on the screen. Good for spares or tyre cleaning/buffing?

They have been taken out of a VW garage today and will be tested, detailed and photographed.

    They are in Newport Shropshire.

I am listing this for a friend and I will update the details as soon as I can, just thought I would post it now!

  6. Its good to read some news from Team Smith Motorsport as we enter the dark cold winter with no racing which means a lack of opportunity to see and hear what's going on in our chosen sport. I think it 's very unkind if there are people that think Stuart 'cant be bothered' to turn up at a meeting, they cant be making any consideration for what's going on here. We have all felt the changes to the economics of just day-to-day living never mind hobbies and interests. Added to this, these people making the comments need to stop and think for a few minutes about the massive impact that Stuarts death will have had on the family, the business and its financial stability and the racing endeavours of the Smith's. And then for Stuart, a young man that has lost his dad due to illness, ( less than twelve months ago), and soon he will miss his older brother and work partner due to geography. The twists, undulations and junctions of life are varied and complicated and stockcar racing is just a small part of that, its support and understand that's needed not immature criticism.
