  1. Hi. If any driver has any damaged or replaced due to revamp cab quater panels, back panels, front wings or roof wing sides that are just thought of as rubbish, are destined for the bin and going to just be thrown away I'd like them please.

I just enjoy collecting them when possible and I am always grateful especially as most of those I have have been given to me as I can't really afford to buy them.

Thank you very much in advance.

  2. I remember the speed weekend there in 2002. The Koopmans (pre Wendy) coming over for it and having fun and reasonable success on the very bumpy track. It was at the hight of the FWJ v Rob Speak 'wars' Frank slammed Speaky hard into the turn 3/4 armco on the Saturday night. On the Sunday morning Speaky had a complete brand new outside nerf rail welded on unpainted. During the Sunday afternoon meeting Robert slammed Frank into the same bit of armco return from the night before. A great weekender that was. And the Rebels were the best I've ever seen them that weekend.

  3. Edit: no Mark Gilbank booked in ? Im sure that will change

As far as I know Mark is not as fit as would like to be and the car has roll cage damage. So an educated guess that Mark is leaving repairing the car for when he's back to full fitness and the closed season refurbishments.

  4. To date I still have from when Daniel ran Stoxnet my Stoxnet beanie hat, some unused Stoxnet car window stickers, a Stoxnet pen. A few years ago Daniel sent me the original manufacturer's sample Stoxnet pen which has a spelling mistake that was printed on it 'stocnet'.

I also have still in the plastic bag Allstox mug No1 (Pedro a.k.a Pete Redford) has no0 I recall?

I did run for a short time my own stock car racing website which I called Rollcage

  5. Gawd so much of that I can relate to. I was a user of Michael's bulletin board. I logged on usung an early digital tv subscription called On Didgital which offered very limited Internet on your tv. Then I joined Opposite Lock and became a regular in the chatrioom. One user name I still remember was 'Owl' a.k.a Mandy of the Paul Harrison team. I was one of the first to join Stoxnet just before it became on line and have had a few usernames during my time, Steve C, Whitevanman & Redvanman. 'Whitevanman' became quite 'famous' around the tracks and with that moniker I met lots of people. The Internet BB's and forums enabled me to get to meet people within this sport as pre Internet I used to know no one and was 'alone' at the meetings previously.

The www of stock car racing has helped me get lots of friends within the sport. It got me a go in an F1 stock car (practice session). It's helped me get to know some of the drivers. It got me very deep into the f2 fraternity for a few years in the mid 00's mechanicing for a few drivers and attending F2 doo's. The internet enabled me to approach Russell Cooper 415 in late 2007 and over the winter an offer of joining the 415 team from 2008 (proudly being a member of the 415 team when Russ reached hus highest grade to date as Blue top) to 2010 and a come back a few times in 2013/14. Also sharing myself with 74 Unsworth team and John Weldon 235.

Social media had also played a major part as through Twitter I've become a Team Gilbank 21/20 member from 2014 onwards (known Mark's sister Marie from the Opposite Lock chat room & forum) and started helping with the car/s in 2016 as predominantly the man with the watering can.

Admittedly it's not been all good I've had friends come and go and have a few haters but their loss. I'm happy with Team Gilbank and I can see the rest of my stock car time will be with them.

  6. After some of the doss holes that I have been to over the years and with the memories of what Kings Lynn used to be like I think that it should be commended on the fact that toilets are kept clean and tidy during the meeting.

The trouble is there are so many uneducated, mindless, uncaring morons in the human race these days who don't care about anyone or anything else but themselves.

  7. Camping

All overnight camping must be in the farmers field at the back of the Raceway.

Use the entrance near the car on the pole.

It's £20 per night per unit.

If you arrive on Friday then you must pay for both days at the camping entrance.

Camping is only available on 14th & 15th - please leave early on Sunday morning.

I dunno if it's just the way it's worded? If wanting to camp on Friday only do you HAVE to canp Saturday too?

  8. Many of you might be interested in motorcycle racing too? Ivan Lintin popular Isle Of Man TT racer was going to attend the world final having been shown footage of BriSCA F1earlier in the year as he lives in Lincolnshire. I have spoken to him a bit about the sport via Twitter with information and he was looking forward to seeing F1 stock cars live. Sadly with the crash that nearly cost him his life in July he's not fit enough to attend. Shame that in a personal not it would have been good to meet him as I'm quite a TT fan as I watch it each year on ITV4. Recover well Ivan.
