  1. Oh my giddy aunt - Are there any fans of stock car racing left in this world? Both promoters and fans need to take a chill pill. There is racing at Belle Vue, without Stoxnet and Facebook, genuine fans would be looking forward to this instead of venting their frustration over booking lists and the like. Heaven help us if the only reason folk attend the racing is because they have been given warts and all info - next they will be wanting to know who wins the final soon before they set off. You really could not make it up! Man up and grow up and if you want to go racing then go racing, it has always been an unknown quantity and that's its charm - expect nothing and then you will never be disappointed.
  2. The weather gods may not be smiling on stock car fans at the moment but we will not be downhearted at MCM Coventry Stadium because on Saturday 5 November it is going to be Raining Men. Those magnificient men in their F1 Machines who bear the brunt of all weather conditions and, no matter what, do the very best they can to entertain and win. Winning is what it is all about on Bonfire Night at Coventry . The Stock Car Magazine sponsored Grand National Championship, The TengTools / Lucas Oils Whites and Yellows Championship, The Teng Tools World of Shale Finale – and that’s before the meeting proper starts! Get ready then for the Ray Tyldesley ‘85’ Memorial Trophy meeting, sponsored by another 85 Iain Holden’s company TSK. Two heats, consolation and Final for a very coveted trophy. ORCi Ministox add a little equal opporuntiy into proceedings lads and lasses with their full on racing and they too have a special event to vie for, The Coventy Masters Final opening the evening entertainment at 6.30pm. Whatever the weather, the drivers will be at Coventry in great numbers – come and support your favourite, join the party and let the end to our official BriSCA F1 season go out with a bang. Plenty of covered terracing and seating in the grandstand, a track view bar and restaurant, free car parking. Sure we’ve forgotten something = Ah yes – a big bucks spectacular fireworks display for Guy Fawkes Night. Admission Adults £18 Concession £13 Children 11 -1 5 £5 under 11’s FREE
  3. Unfortunately not - this meeting has been cancelled - please pass the message on. Thank you Nina
  4. oops, too many zeros' - thanks for spotting the mistake - no prize I'm sorry but you are the only person to have picked up on this so you can be proud and have a big pat on the back - however, all pennies gratefully received by the BSCDA and the publicity is really useful. Thanks again Nina
  5. As this is now the third? Gala Meeting - would it not be possible to reveal how much is raised and where these funds go. I have been asked this question several times when selling Stoxworld and can never refer people to any information. The news might encourage more people out on what might be a dark, damp, cold November evening if the gloom outside here in Warwick is anything to go by at the moment.
  6. To celebrate the occasion, there is a great Special Weekend Deal on admission prices. Saturday's meeting has BriSCA and Dutch F1s vying in the Anglo-Dutch Final and Qualifying for the Golden Helmet Finale, with V8 Hot Stox competing in their own World Final, supported by Rebel Racers. All the sport's top drivers have been invited, including 2009 World Champion Andrew Smith, who retained his World title in masterful style at Kings Lynn on 19 September; plus National Points Champion Frankie Wainman Jnr, their respective brothers Stuart Smith and Daniel Wainman and Ryan Harrison, the Under 25 Champion. 8. On Jeremy's behalf here is the proposed running order at the moment - may change as Jeremy is currently on a short holiday (which he has interrupted to answer all your queries) N Stockarts Mini Ht1 V8 Ht 1 Mini Ht 2 V8 Ht2 F1 Ht1 F1 Ht2 F1 Ht3 Ben Fund Mini Final F1 Cons Fireworks F1 Final V8 British F1 Track Championship Mini GN F1 GN
  9. There will be some late changes to the grids as these were compiled before Dave Robottom went on a well earned holiday to Majorca. So that we could get on with programme planning the grids were made up a week early. All listed drivers were given bookings at last month's meeting and no doubt some will have to withdraw and the reserves will be brought in. Nina
  10. A surprise addition to the programme for Coventry's Friday night banger/lightning rods/mini stox meeting are the F1 and F2 Heritage Cars. I recall stoxnetters enjoyed these at Wimbledon and Northampton and might like the opportunity to see them again. Start time 7.00pm admission £10.00. Nina
