Dave Hodgson (272) sometimes stored his car & bus over the winter, in the garage where my Dad used to work. My uncle also used to work for Dave.

My Dad knows Tim Smith (217) & Phil Hemingway (474).

  1. They do show replays from various camera angles when a big incident occurs & the yellows go out. There's also footage of previous meetings mixed in at places like when Mark Woodhull flew into the turn 3 fence, the comentator says it was similar to Stuart Smith Jnr's crash in a Euro (I think) meeting a few years back, then a replay of that crash. £23.50 delivered, for 3 meetings worth of racing, BARGAIN! Looks like it was filmed from the top of race control.
  2. And no-one is more upset about that than DH themselves, who rely on the big events to subsidise their other meetings. Usually the sound is captured directly from race control, which sounds perfectly clear. The set-up was turned on its head at WF weekend. It sounded great if you were there but caused problems for those who were trying to capture it, none of whom were given any prior warning. Sorry, I didn't mean to cause offence by that remark, just giving an honest opinion of what I paid for. It's not the quality of the race commentery I was commenting on, it's the fact that you can hardly hear the engines at all during any part of it. Right. Got my SCA release DVD this morning. A++++++++++ Brilliant! No black lines top & bottom. brilliant sound quality, 1 camera position 9which I prefer to chopping & changing between a few. Definatly worth the price. Ordered Friday morning, arrived Saturday morning
  3. Ordered the SCA DVD! I'll post on here my opinion of the quality of it. I hope it's better than the DH videos release.
  4. By "and so on" I take it you mean the sound quality is rubbish on the DH videos & the picture isn't as good as you would expect. Comapring the DH Videos release of the 2011 WF to Impact Videos release of the 2009 WF, there is no comparison. The best bit of the DH Videos release is that most of it is filmed from one camera position, which I actually prefer to multi cameras. On the 2009 DVD, at Gentlemen, Start Yor Engines, the engines roar into life. On the 2011 DVD there is near silence. Same throughout the racing. They've put more emphasis on the race commenary and roving mic men.
