Another stock car blog :-)

06 January 2018 - 04:20 PM

It's been a while since I posted a topic, but, after reading Kelvin's blog, I simply HAD to share this blog post on here. Hope you enjoy! 😊

Stock cars and touring cars

20 September 2017 - 09:42 PM

This is a perfect one for Stoxnet (and Twitter! :chortle: ). On Sunday, while watching the BTCC, I heard Dvid Addison mention the BriSCA F1's, and, specifically, Ant Whorton-Eales I think it was. Apparently he won the under-25's Championship a couple of years back, but I can't remember seeing his name anywhere amongst the BriSCA circles. Hopefully someone with more knowledge of the stox and/or touring cars can help clear this up for me. :dunno:

Kelvin's Kunstvoller blog from Skeg Vegas

06 June 2017 - 06:30 PM

Hey howdy hey, stox fans! A while back, I was asked on Twitter by the lovely Miss Brassique to help her promote Kunstvoller, and also Kelvin Hassell's blog, from his racing weekends, here on Stoxnet. Unfortunately, due to my internet connection being absolutely diabolical (4Kb/s!!), I haven't been able to share the blog.......until now!

So, here it is! A link to the Kunstvoller website, and #13 Kelvin Hassell's blog all about his weekend racing at the UK Open in Skeg Vegas.

A tweet by @Stoxnet about it made me giggle too. And I quote: "Contains rude words and a disturbing amount of Barbie detail. Not suitable for anyone."

Personally I wouldn't agree that it isn't suitable for anyone, but I think that to be fair that was said very much tongue in cheek. At least I bloomin' hope it was haha!! :chortle:

Any hoodily doodles, I hope you all enjoy reading it, as it is a good read, and is always interesting to get a driver's perspective, which is why I like reading Nigel's blogs, and was more than happy to help promote Kelvin's too.

If you do "do" Twitter, be sure to follow @Kunstvoller to keep yourself up to date with all the goings on in the world of extreme sports, and of course it doesn't get much more extreme than BriSCA F1!! :whistling:

Owlerton Stadium question

24 February 2017 - 07:00 PM

As the title suggests, I have a random question about Sheffield. Quite an easy one to be fair too. I was just wondering, roughly how far from the "main" bus station, in Sheffield city centre, is Owlerton Stadium? The reason I ask is because I am hoping to make it there for the first meeting of the year on 23rd April, and will be coming up via Megabus, so was thinking of maybe just jumping in a taxi, rather than trying to get a bus or tram or some such thing, what with the meeting being on a Sunday. Any info anyone could give me would be much appreciated. Cheers. Nut Nut.

Your favourite track

09 December 2016 - 06:16 PM

Being as it's the close season, I'm bored out of my box, and I watched a great YouTube video that got me thinking earlier, I thought I would start a new topic. I was just wondering what everyone's favourite track is? It can be a current or closed track, it doesn't matter, but if you could pick one of each that would be great. I'll keep an eye on it and tally up votes as the topic goes along, if it gets enough responses lol! :chortle: I'll get it started. I would say my favourite shale track would of course be the legendary Coventry, and my favourite tarmac track.......that's a tough one, but I think I'm going to have to go with Buxton. Northampton and Hednesford and are fantastic, but, for me at least, Buxton just edges it. There's just something about the place. It's fast, it's furious, and it's fun!! I feel sorry for my brother and his fiancée, they have never been there!! Ah well, maybe next year I can help them chnage that. We'll see. In the meantime I hope this thread gets a good reception, and gives us all something to do during these looooong winter months lol.
