what would be really helpful right now would be for Steve Rees to come on here and tell us what the situation is, or perhaps via his own website

 

I suspect, that if workington was a go-er, then it would probably come in when belle vue ends.

well that, was very good.

 

I will just say this, steve isnt looking too well, thats a man who has had the life smashed out of him trying to do the best by the sport he loves on so many levels

 

other promoters will be happy with their lot, their regular track running regular dates and to some extent life can be really predictable and its easy to plan ahead somewhat for them that run their own venue.

 

steve is fighting issues off left right and centre to keep afloat, he is doing it for stockcar racing, its spectators, its drivers, and the various unions [thats what they are at the end of the day ORCi, BriSCA etc], some of them are leaving to try the greener grass on the other side of the fence, some of them are coming back though because it isnt so green after all.

 

the message that came through loud and clear from that interview, was that venues need supporting, its as simple as that.
