Hi Our section for 1/8th Stock Cars are running our English Open championship this Sunday 31st July 2011 start time 11.00am at our track near keighley for address and directions see our website http://www.norastockcars.webs.com/. These cars are nitro powered and contact is allowed and have been seen on selecterd shows in the past. The meeting will bring the best drivers from all over the country to contest the English Open Championship with an annual trophy up for grabs and the George Cross can be displayed on the aerofoil for the winner but also as an extra trophy we are putting up a trophy in memory of Stuart Smith which will be an annual trophy and will be run every year at Nora. The 1/8th Stock Cars are holding there World Championship this Sunday 12th September Start Time 10.00am. The venue is the Notts + Derby Club the address is: Birnams Sports & Social Club Halls Lane Newthorpe Nottingham NG16 2DE 59 Drivers are booked in from the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Belgium and 2 Drivers from United States and will battle it out for the World Crown with the defending title holder 1 Brian Weijers trying to keep of the coveted gold roof. We also have a special guest trophy presenter thanks to Marc Radforth Formula 1 Stock Car Driver who will be handing the trophies out at the end of the meeting. There is no charge to get in and there is a tea/coffee and food available all day. If you fancy coming down you are more than welcome. Hi everyone Nora are running a special meeting on 9th August it is a normal club meeting but with a very special guest Frankie Wainman Junior the Brisca Formula 1 National Points Champion had very kindly put up an annual trophy for the Nora club. I am led to believe that drivers are travelling up to race at this meeting so i hope we can make it a big turnout for Frankie. The 2009 running of the 1/8th Stock Car English Championship is to be held at the Nora Raceway in Keighley start time 11.00am. This championship will be contested this year by some of the countries best drivers and the defending champion is 390 Scott Grocock who will be going all out to defend his title, trying to snatch his title will be 391 Jody Foster Number 1 Ranked driver in the UK, 46 Simon Farrer a top driver from the Midlands and the local drivers been headed by 64 Dick Batty with 34 Thomas Yarwood and 111 Ian Yarwood Junior all in contention for the title with there local track knowledge and there form round Nora this year. The bookings have closed for the event and we have 65 cars booked for this event. We have drivers from all over the Uk racing as well as racers from Holland and Belgium. The 2009 1/8th Wemsa Stock Car European Championship is to be held on Sunday 31st May 2009 at: Lakeside Raceway Stanton Lakes Broughton Road Stoney Stanton Leicestershire LE9 4JA Heats start from 10.00am Finals by 4.00pm Restaurant/Cafe on site Free Admission The best drivers from the Uk and the Mainland Europe battle it out for the title currently held by 391 Jody Foster.
